Hello everyone,

Busy scouting - Chicago, Detroit, and Washington D.C. for Transformers last week. Things are going well. The script is feeling very different from the other two. I ended my scout down in Miami this weekend to load my plane with 14 Florida Surgeons, specialists in various fields and flew them down to Haiti. We then returned with a planeload of a team of exhausted Miami Fire rescue. It is proving very difficult for these volunteers to get back home.

They say the news hardly gives the true scope of what really happened. They really feel about 500,000 probably died. One of the worst stories I heard from people down there - because of the huge lack of education in Haiti – when the earthquake struck – everyone ran inside buildings most likely to their graves. The state of Florida is really pulling their weight in this massive effort. Here some pics:

Great job down in Haiti, would you care to comment on the leaked script that has been circulating online?

What can I add, but to say Thank You for helping Haiti. You have a big heart, and that is so nice to see in Hollywood, or anywhere else!

Good to hear about TF3's progress.

And that's great of you to give real, practical help so generously. A lot of people are just giving money (and I know a lot of money will be needed) when there are other ways to help that are being diminished. And there are so many fake donation sites etc., and so much emphasis on money at the expensive of practical help, that I think the situation in Haiti is going to really suffer from it. So good for you doing something that will have specific and beneficial results! :)

That's wonderful. Getting in and out seems to be the biggest problem with the AF (poorly) running the ground. I don't know why it's so disorganized.

I'm very proud to be a fan of yours today. You deserve nothing but respect.

That's because it is fake. Nelson, the administrator of this forum, has created another thread called "Script." The first post is an OFFICIAL notice that that script is fake. Go to that thread, do NOT change the subject here.

That's great Mike, keep helping the world.
If the Autobots were here, they could be incredibly useful. Why don't they exist?

Can't wait for TF3, but I have to.

Because there's one airport that never was that great to begin with. It's in ruins, and the air traffic controllers can barely operate. There's always near misses with aircraft over there.

Sucks, Drake. Guess they need boats to take people to the carrier then... :(

Mr. Bay that is great. You are not only a fantabulous movie maker, but a great man as well. My aunt is from Haiti (she lost a few relatives and friends), and I will be sure to forward this news to her. Thanks for all that you do.

Also thanks for the updates. Goes to show that you care about your fans. Keep up the good work.

And so it starts.

It was wonderful of you Michael to give the surgeons and fire crew a lift. From what I heard, they were having some trouble flying people in at some point.

As for the locations, thanks for the update even if you are feeding us misinformation again.

Keep up the good work and good luck.

Problem is, people tend to misunderstand the situation there. They assume that all you have to do is get some hammers and nails, and the airport will be back up in tip top shape in no time. So, you have a decimated airport, a huge influx of relief flights coming in, and a nonexistant air traffic control system. Recipe for disaster if you ask me. Well meaning people, but still very dangerous. I don't know the current status of the airport, though. I'd think since the military has popped in, we may have installed our own system for air traffic.

I was just annoyed there was a perfectly good aircraft carrier sitting out there with a fabulous, well-staffed med bay and nobody could use it. It was just frustrating Drake. It's not that I don't have great respect for the AF. Don't get me wrong. I would have joined up if I could have.

I think the whole situation is frustrating for everyone. I can only imagine the logistical nightmare going on down there right now.

Here in Spain we spent a week to decide if we were going to send someone... and the regular forces we have there (mostly cops) stayed a whole week awaiting orders. That's annoying.

European response in general was truly annoying.

Mr.Bay your doing a great thing for Hait and leading a good exsample for people to follow. And I can't wait for casting news. Things are really pick up for Transformers 3. And is filming going to be split between Detroit , DC, and Chicago or is it just one of them?

Yes i agree with u it is sad to see some people suffer more than others it must be absolutely tragic for each individual who has lost a loved one or is homeless i couldn't imagine the psychological trauma these poor people are suffering from i just hope that support and sufficent funds will keep coming through for these unfortunate people and i'm very grateful that i live in a country which does not suffer from these natural disasters. And it's also great to see people who have the power such as michael bay to use it for help and support.

What gets me is that Israel has already accomplished so much-- it's own hospitals etc., so fast... and some places and org's that should be faster and prepared... aren't.

Hallo Michael,

read about what you did in Haiti, helping the people and also bringing some of the rescue team back home. It was a terrible shock for everyone also here in germany what has happened to the people in Haiti. Thank God, that we are all sticking together and are collecting money for the poor people there.

Greetings from Germany

Marc
