Was I the only one that enjoyed his performance immensely?

Nope! I loved him in it! He was funny and witty - which i think we all EXPECTED and WANTED as soon as we knew he was in it/saw him in it.
Legendary. :D

I wonder if he will show up in the sequel. I actually hope so, a small performance just as in #1. I got the impression the audience liked him a lot. I also appreciated he didn't go too over-the-top. I mean, he was never on the Jack Sparrow-level.

While ill agree he did a great job, i hated the character. For me it was way over the top. I mean a supposedly secret agency and they have tank tops or whatever with a superman like logos on the front and then their names on the back? Too much. Funny sure, but i like to see Government Agencies and Military being hardcore like what they did with the Josh and Tyrese's characters. Just my 2 cents

I love John Turturro's work. I liked him in TF's as well. Clip-on necktie and all! :D

I typically enjoy Turturro's stuff, but this role kinda bugged me.
His role in O Brother Where Art Thou is priceless though.
"DO NOT SEEK THE TREASURE!"
I still laugh at that line.
However, he seemed like the perfect guy to play Simmons. Maybe it was the character that bugged me. I dunno, I can't put my finger on it. :(
