Question about Elita-One

Sometime in November someone posted that Flare-up was actually Elita-One. Since then my soul has been troubled. Why make such a powerful Autobot (she is the Autobot leader on Cybertron) with such a limited role? Why make someone who was such a large part of Prime's past have so little to do with him in ROTF? I would love to see her in TF3, or another future installment, but someone ease this troubled soul and tell me this is not true.

Yes, he is, but Elita is the Autobot leader of Cybertron just as Shockwave was the Decepticon leader of Cybertron.

well in san diego comic con they sayed that the character wil lbe called Flareup but then i naugust 24 in hasbro Q&A, hasbro confirmade that the bike will be elita-1, But i nthe moveiverse she is just an extension of arcee, i saw 5 pages preview of tales of the fallen issue 6: arcee and thsi elita-1 and chromia were created by decpeticons and arcee new body was made by the decepticosn aswell,

there are 2 elita-1, one (the real one and the leader of the autobots left on cyebrtron) was killed by starscream cuz he wanted to pwoer up an replica of the allsaprk with using other bots sparks, and in rotf eltia-1 is not the actual one, she, Arcee and chromia are only arcee, that means that the real eltia-1 is dead and the eltia-1 from rotf is just an extension of arcee, hasbro just made them in separate characters in the toys so they would not call them Arcee 1 (arcee), arcee 2 (Chromia) and arcee 3 (elita-1)

And this is where my confusion comes in. The comics have very little continuity with the movies. As far as ROTF are we looking at a Brawl situation where they meant to call her Elita-One but called her Flare-up just as in TF1 they meant to call Brawl Devestator?

even in the movie this elita-1 is just arcee extension not a regualr character, and bay prefer devastator name than Brawl, since this elita-1 is just an extension of arcee and nto a separate character that measn this is not the elta-1 leader of the autobtos left o ncyebrtron, THSI ELTIA-1 along chromai and arcee ARE JSUT ARCEE!!, the comcis are canon, some of the stuff in the movies that contraditcs the comics is Cuz while the guys at the comcis were writting it, bay and the otehrs decided to do soem changes and the comics writers were nto aware from this like, while filming the movie bay and others changed the idea of fallen beign trapped on the relic without telling it to the gusy writting and making the comics, but anyway this elita-1 is Not and repat NOT the eltia-1 that was left on cybertron, Arcee old body was destryoed and the decepticons aded arcee life force and memroys to the new arcee body and to chromia and this Elita-1, cuz they wanted to sue the new arcee body and her extensions for work for them, that means this is an elita-1 that was created by teh cons and is not the regular elita, so this one only haev arcee memorys cuz has i mentioend before arcee, chromai and This new elita-1 are only arcee

She is awesome. According to the comics she is dead. But hopefully they will be able to at least put her in a movie. Even if it's just a Prime flashback.

I would think that they'd use Elita for something bigger. She is one of the leaders and a pretty good one that at. Plus, she was with Optimus for a short time in the past. Come on, there is so much to work with there!

As I said before there is very little continuity between the movies and the comics. Plus I don't think the writers use the comics as tie ins to the movies.
