Autobots or Humans?

I would like to see some of Primes vulnerabilities in TF3. He has been built up as a perfect leader incapable of errors. If he were put in a situation where he had to put both a Human or, an Autobot in danger of being killed who would he grieve for the most: His fellow comrades the Autobots or the Humans.

That is a tough one. I always thought the one weakness that he had was that he cared too much and wants to protect all life forms (except decepticons). it would be especially hard if the human was a close friend.
If Optimus was in that position, I think he would try to save both. He may not succeed, but he won't give up. Course he would feel awful if either died. Look what happened with Jazz.

out of all the humans and Autobots that I think would really get to Optimus if they were killed would be Sam and Bumblebee. Over the last two movies, we know Optimus and Sam have grown very close. Sam has now saved Optimus in both movies as well as Optimus saving Sam a few times. Not to say Bumblebee hasnt been there to do his part in saving Sam quite a few times...but Bumblebee is more times then not right there with Optimus when the going gets tough and willing to step in and take on any Decepticons with Optimus. I could really see Optimus taking it very hard if somehow Bumblebee were to die.

I think if it came right down to it, he would work to save both, but the other autobot would be seen as a fellow warrior, and able (willing?) to make the ultimate sacrifice. A human would more like be seen as a rescue "target" in need of more protection and with less of an expectation to heroics. (Not that a good leader doesn't seek to protect his or her troops, just in a different way.)

It's been addressed. Optimus would sooner die than risk the life of either. However, as mentioned, if he absolutely HAD to make a choice, he'd sacrifice an Autobot, simply because they brought their war to the humans, and not vice versa.

I agree. I think that Bee is like a son to Optimus. In the G1 cartoons and Marvel comics wherever there was Optimus there was Bee. I remember in an episode of TF Optimus and a few other Bots were under the control of the Dcons. Seeing Prime in this state troubled Bee more than any of the other Bots to the point where he risked his life to rescue his leader from the control of the enemy. Optimus in turn thanked Bee and gave him a hug. I believe this carried over into the TF movies. I do believe he would rather sacrifice himself and the Bots than have humans die (especially by the hands of the Dcons) but, if Bee were to die, that would really get to him more so than if any of the others were to die.

Definatly Optimus would try and save a human. Like somebody said above, the Autobots brought the war to earth and I think he knows that an Autobot has a better chance of surviving than a human.
