What would you like to see Hot Rod be in TFs3?

This is just a rumor so in no way am I saying Hot Rod will be in TFs 3 but I have heard rumors that because Bat was not able to find a good way to fit Hot Rod in ROTF that he's saving Hot Rod for movie 3 and I think if in it Hot Rod would make for a good character if he was a newer Dodge Viper. Im excited that Dodge has brought the Viper back with a new sexier look and Hot Rod would rule as a Viper. I think it would fit his bad boy, hot headed personality. What do you think?

As long as it does not involve Optimus dying again, I am happy with whatever he looks like. But if he is going to also star as Rodimus prime, then it should be something that looks powerful.

Never liked Hot Rod, never will. But because he took over as leader after Optimus' death in TF:The Movie I guess they feel obligated to have him in one of the movies. He was a horrific leader that led the Autobots in defeat and even contributed to Primes death in TF:The Movie. He is a pure joke of an Autobot. If they bring him in he should be brought in as cannon fodder and nothing more. It should go something like this: Hot Rod makes his appearance in alt mode and then transforms to report to Prime while in the midst of heavy battle. Hot Rod asks,"Where do you need me Optimus", Optimus answers,"glad you finally decided to show up Hot Rod." Prime begins to shoot at a Decepticon, hears a loud explosion next to him and see's Hot Rod blowing up. And there you have Hot Rods appearance in TF3.

Yes this is true and I too would love to see Sunny right along with his bro Sideswipe but if Hot Rod were in it, he wouldnt have to be arrogent... just young and raw, new to the game, untrained. He could be the one who is quick to want to show his worth but in doing so he gets others into trouble as they would have to get him out of trouble. I could see Optimus having to come to his aid and in doing so, Optimus would end up getting hurt badly(not die) but you get the point. The other Autobots would shun Hot Rod for this and well more drama could come of that.

That is correct. I just can't help thinking of Hot Rod as Rodimus that's the big reason I disliked him. Hot Rod had a role prior to TF:The Move but not as prominent as his role as Rodimus. I still hold on to the fact that if he didn't want to be the leader he should have just gave the Matrix back to Ultra Magnus. Although he didn't want to be leader either he would have been much better than Rodimus. Prime had to have seen something in Magnus to hand over that responsibilty.

I think Cliffjumper would be a good addition especially with him and Bee being close. Plus Cliffjumper is very blood thirsty probably even more so than Ironhide. Remember he was ready to kill Mirage when he accused Mirage of being a traitor.

That is what makes Cliffjumper Cliffjumper. The transformers personality makes them all unique. For example Ironhide retained none of his G1 physical attributes but all of his mental attributes remained the same. If you take away his attitude then you may as well not include him in the movie.

Yeah, exactly. What makes Cliff Jumper a great character now is that he is hard headed, hard nosed and he's not afriad to take Megatron all by himself (which probably makes he him a little crazy lol). Casey Casem did a fantastic job with his character.

In red, with perhaps a little flameage it wouldn't be that far off from his original look. Besides if they're an advanced race of alien robots, at least one of them should have the good sense to know American's can't build cars for beans.

he cant actually be called Hot Rod anymore due to it being a trademark, hence why he is often named Rodimus

id like to see him as a replacement for jazz as autobot second in command, but prime has allready died once, if he dies again people will begin to think he kinda sucks, like a dirge or shrapnel from g1 :P

a lot of people dont like hot rod in g1 because he got optimus killed

A bit arrogant yes but again he's proven to be a warrior over time. According to Sideswipes bio, he is young and a bit arrogant but has gotten over his inability to follow orders. I can see Sideswipe and Hot Rod bumping heads but Hot Rod being the true, raw, green soldier with no true combat experience.
