The ending needs to be harder for the hero

The only thing that really annoyed me in TROTF is how easily Optimus Prime defeated the Fallen. I thing whether it be good or bad who prevails in the third film, the final fight scene needs to be longer, harder and more epic.

i think it was due to the lack of time that Mike wasnt able to spend as much time as he wanted to, he stated so on the bluray comentary and that he was sorry to the fans. I guess its time to make up for it ;)

I have to agree, Optimus just kicked ass and he just put it all out on the line against The Fallen/Megatron. I liked it, especially when Optimus shot Megatron in the face with Megatron's gun:D

But the "long" forest scene was just awesome :D

Yep, both of those scenes show what kind of emotional and charismatic leader that Optimus Prime truly is. To me, I really like both the forest battle and the final battle in equal value. Since you mention it, if a battle has to be drawn out long - I'd love for it to be more like the forest battle. :p

It was a good comeback k.o rush for Optimus. I just laughed at Megs when he saw the fallen die. He was scared hiding in the pillars :D
How many did Ironhide shoot down anyway? it felt like he was the only autobot holding off the hordes of decepticons.

I actually liked how fast the fight went. After that chaotic sequence of events in the battle leading up to Prime's resurrection, it felt as if Prime was like "Let me show you how it's done."

TF1 had a fairly good ending in that it felt like it lasted long enough but it didnt have enough robots.

TF ROTF had a lame ending as alot of the cool bots were either killed off or not included in the final battle as much as fans wanted.

For TF3 they need a fair amount of robots. Prime shouldnt be the only one to save the day. Have Bumblebee do something to save Sam and maybe damage Starscream or something while Prime battles Megatron.

Or make it a huge all out battle inside and around Unicron to give the fans the ultimate parting gift.:cool:

I thought the ending was great! :) I agree with EpicBacons and Bayhem; After so many clichéd battle scenes in movies, the endings start to become very expected - I like to see the unexpected :D

See this movie is very deceptive because Optimus defeating the fallen is not the climatic act. the climatic act is same striking optimus with the matrix. everything after that, is causal effect. even if it was long, we wouldn't feel anymore attached to it. Sam is the only character that the movie set us up to care about. once his job is done, the movie is pretty much over. of course that makes the last fight the most action packed "slow curtain" I have ever seen.

As for the last scene, I am sure it was completely and utterly intentional.

Devs being killed by humans? No, Devs was killed by a RAILGUN, which, in theory, would've probably done even more damage than the movie portrayed. Just because they are big robots doesn't make them immune to a freaking railgun shot to the back.

Chromia/Maybell~which brings up another good point. The second act climax ( or was it the first, I haven't seen the film since theaters) was more climatic than the last act. the forest scene absolutly made this film in my eyes, yet it happened less than halfway in the telling.

I think the ending was good, it just seemed a little rushed. Maybe dividing some of the more action/suspense scenes with some side stuff like humans fighting decepticons, or other autobots giving out orders/attacking, adding a couple minutes to that spot would have been nice. Or extending the devastator thing to be more part of the movie than the last little end run.

Actually, come to think of it, they could have pushed this and actually added depth to the flat character of Prime. A leader that is so compassionate to an alien (us) race, yet so spiteful and hateful to a faction of his own. All this dispite the fact that he sees some of the same qualities in humans that he does in Deceptions. Now that would make for an interesting character.

That was the old G1 Prime coming out. Prime always talked smack. For example in the second episode of Season 1 Prime said to Megatron,"You're old, Megatron. Yesterday's model—ready for the scrap heap!" and "Junk! That's what you are, junk!" So Prime was full of insults. I loved it when he called Grindor "Piece of tin" after ripping his head apart. This is nothing new for Prime. It's his personality that I hope we see more of in TF3.
