On the blu-ray version of Transformers 2 there is video where Michael Bay is talking about the possibilities of Transformers 3 and how it should go darker and more emotional. Has anyone seen this video? check it out now if you have the blu-ray.

I'm soooo damn exited. I hope its not Paramount throwing moolah at Bay to force him for 2011. anyways i dont think Bay is like that, he's all about the fans.

Yeah, we don't have to have a bigger movie. Just go sideways and delve more into the TF's mythology and get into emotions and personality.

I guess just stay at the level of how big you do your stuff and go sideways from there. :confused:
All I know is he said he wanted to go darker and more emotional, and that makes me :).

Well he's just simply saying that he doesnt want to necessarily make it BIGGER than the 2nd one...he just wants it more in depth with emotion and connection.
He probably just now wants to have that connection of more sensitivity from the audience. Hence, darker and emotional. Darker I like =) I think he could pull those off very well, but that would probably mean that the comedy card would have to be pulled less often. I dont know, but considering how much I love Michael Bay's film style, I can't wait to see what he does to pull out some emotion. =D

i dont quite understand how he can say "sideways" whilst showing images of Unicron....
emotional and darker is definately what we need.
I guess he realized that the fandome was chanting for larger and more robots, they got it, but they didnt any character development and they appeared from left-right-centre...Bay i guess knows that thats not the way to go for the next tone.

I believe he means that he has added enough bots and cons and just needs to expand on the history. I don't believe he'll do it though. It's all talk right now.
At the first of the video he states he knows this is going to be posted on line so he's going to start the false information or something like that (the video is not the best quality).

maybe the misinformation was them flashing pics of Unicron on there?
or maybe it was Bay saying that he's just going to go sideways instead of bigger?

When they say darker some one close to the main chracters ussually get killed. For this movie I think Sam's parent will die. Just so he appreciate those around him and not just run from it all. bumblebee will also get severely damage from that scene and Sam has to pair up with Optimus and after a few choiced words, the chorus will start...

This movie got very big, very grand. We're covering a lot of ground. Third one definitely doesn't have to be as big. Could go darker. Definitely has to be more emotional and it's not going to be just about action, action, action.
And that's where I think T3 might potentially go, where things are more undercover, not as exposed."
So more Bumblebee (my fav :D), more emotion, and more robot characterization. Sounds pretty good so far :)

Bay can do emotional scenes very well. Harry's sacrifice in Armageddon, Optimus' death, and Sam telling his dad to let him go in ROTF were wonderful scenes. I hope TF3 brings it home on the emotion scale. And have some truly epic action scenes at the same time too.

I will be very surprised if that song is in TF3 But anything is possible. Hopefully, someone out there will upload a better quality video.
