As some of you might know, I've moved the main site to a secure server.
For those of you using IE, are you getting certificate/secure warnings when accessing the blog page? Stuff like "not all assets are secure" and what not?
Thanks.
Yes, IE says so when the https page contains reference paths begin with http. To avoid this, every referred images, Flashes, Javascript files should be under the https root. This often happens when the page has GoogleAdsense in it. (I think they have adsense codes for secure servers too.) A little bit annoying for IE users to press "yes" button everytime, but currently the site is visible through IE.

Unfortunately, that's beyond my control as some of the content is off Vimeo and Youtube.

I'm on IE 8. And mine is doing it both on the Enter Page and the Newsblog page.

Yeah, IE always brings this kind of pain in the neck. Meanwhile, IE8 users can disable this mixed-content warning by adjusting the security level at Tools - Internet Options - Security tab. IMO IE8 is too strict about security. Hope Microsoft will fix this in later version-ups.

Yes. I just assumed it was IE being nutso, because I use it for work now. I'm having a cranky issue with me persistently downloading certs for a site it keeps trying to block only for it tell me it didn't download anything. Stupid thing!

Isn't there a way to permanently allow the site?
My computer says:
From the warning, you can choose to report this site as a safe site. Click the Report that this site does not contain threats link to go online to the Microsoft feedback website, and then follow the instructions.
And:
Yes, corporate computer administrators and individual users can add websites to their list of trusted sites, and then turn SmartScreen Filter off for all websites in the Trusted sites security zone.
To add a website to your list of trusted websites and turn SmartScreen Filter off for that site
Click to open Internet Explorer. (shortcut:%22%25ProgramFiles%25%5CInternet%20Explo rer%5Ciexplore.exe%22)
Navigate to the website that you want to add to the list of trusted sites.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click Trusted sites.
Click the Sites button.
The website address should appear in the Add this website to the zone box.
If the site is not a secure site (HTTPS), clear the Require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone check box.
Click Add, and then click Close.
On the Security tab, click Custom level.
In the Security Settings dialog box, scroll to find Use SmartScreen Filter, and then click Disable.
Click OK, and then click OK again.
I use Firefox too, but I just checked with IE8, and it happens twice with me. I think the main annoyance is the first time, because when you click yet, it reloads the page, and then you need to start again...

Internet explorer 8 also has major issues with alot of collage campus's, it has caused everyone in my school to be forced to use Mozila because it causes problems with our Blackboard system which is our online stuff.
