Maybe I'm a little rational top start a whole new thread on this, but I just wanna say one thing. Do it Bay style. You did TF1 Bay style and we all loved it. TF2 was alright, but seeing how 'fast' it was due to some the fans asking too much. For TF3, please just do it your way, everyone will love it. (Yes, of course there will be that bunch of bad apples that might freak out like the first, and that's tough getting by, and a few will probably start nagging me for this thread too, lol)

All I'm saying is do it how you want it done, maybe try some explanations for ROTF? That would make TF3 epic. Don't forget those Bay-splosions and Bay-hem of course!

Agreed. I would rather RoTF more of the original bots from the first movie with a couple new additions for each side.

bay style hasn't worked and it's time for something new. if bay continues with his dumb humor and horrible dialogue sytle then i can pretty much bet that he'll be replaced by 2013 for a reboot.

TF '07 humour was great!

It's been discussed a million times that the body/sexual humour was a bit overdone, if that's what you mean. But some don't seem to want humour at all, and TF is funny stuff.

I can't see them rebooting 2 years after TF3 given how good TF and ROTF were, even if he decided to throw up his hands and release a blank screen.

I think what Swift was getting at was that TF3 should be less of a fan service, like ROTF was, and more of an actual movie like TF 2007 was. The crew was way more independent from the fan base with the first movie. With ROTF, they tried to cram as many characters as possible, which unfortunately led to many of them not getting any significant part in the movie.

Also, I don't remember Pearl Harbor (the only other Bay movie I've seen, crazy eh?) having potty humor.

...his dumb humor and horrible dialogue sytle..

Don't you think it's weird that you always criticize Michael Bay's Transformers movies because of, according to you, "the dumb humor and horrible dialogue", yet you use as a signature lines from ( surprise ) "Transformers" ?

By the way, what's the thing you like about the two Transformers films or to you they're complete crap?

Just curious...

Although RoTF wasn't my favorite movie:

TF1 worldwide gross $708,272,592 ($151,000,000 budget)
TF2 worldwide gross $833,135,391 ($210,000,000 budget)

hasn't worked, huh?

Transformers has millions of followers with or without bay. Raimi, Cameron, even mcg could direct and it would still make hundreds of millions. Money doesn't equal a good movie. It just means there are millions of kids out there willing to pay to see it.

The Budget of Transformers 2 was $ 194 Million not $ 210 Million

What about the DVD success?

People can dismiss the box office using the usual "money doesn't equal quality", but they can't ignore the DVDs. And if I recall correctly, back in 2007 "Transformers" was the most successful DVD of the year ( just like "Pearl Harbor" in 2001 ).

You can expect the same thing this year with "Revenge of the Fallen".

Raimi, Cameron, even mcg could direct and it would still make hundreds of millions.ya it may make millions but only within it's wide release. The Terminator franchise is in jeopardy again because the box office results hasn't resulted in production profits...Terminator 5 doesnt look plausible because they keep rebooting it, and it keeps failing.
ROTF is still making 1-5 million per week in US...
ROTF BD / DVD sales this year most likely will be highest for this year.

Exactly.

That's why the box office is so important, especially when it comes to big summer films.

The potty humor comes from the Bad Boys movies.

Mainly the autobots, but I'm happy with the amount of time Megatron, Starscream, Frenzy, Blackout and Scorponok got.

Brawl never used all of his weapons, Bonecrusher's role was like 2 minutes, and Barricade deserved more.

Most robots in ROTF got Bonecrusher like bits.

Frenzy appeared the most in TF1

Money may not equal a good movie, but it does equal a successful movie.

And do you really think that if McG makes another Terminator movie it will be any better than the first one he did?

Well come on! LOL!
You've seen those "Energon Os" cereal commercials! It just makes sense the mask opens...

And who has enough time on their hands to freak out about something like that? Probably the same scifi fans who think the most homely people are just the sexiest things ever. Haha!!
