Given there's already a story to the movie, i wonder if there is already a title chosen.
Any cool suggestions if not?

just trying to keep the ideas flowing. It would be so cool if an idea born on the forum actually made it to the screen

what, you dont think fans are capable of good ideas? just take a look at Longhaul's concept art that started as fan-art and actually became the robot mode used in the movie.

No offense, but ... they're "capable" of good ideas, but very few fan ideas make even passable when it comes to publishing or film.
Art is one thing- computer and art are forms that can be very unique. But when it comes to titles, characters, stories... they get super "fan"-like. You can *always* tell when something is fan made, no matter the budget.
I've seen it for years, people will pick it to pieces.

sadly, this is true...but that is how the world goes, people want real movies by pros not fans

Well, at least to pay for... I have no problem watching good fan stuff on YouTube- if it's really good.
If I'm paying 12$/movie, and 30$ to buy it- I need the production value and quality behind it, not just words or "I'm a fan therefore I can..."

yes, that sound right...its just that if they made a fan movie, anyone who wasn't a fan probably wouldn't understand half of it...it would just be too much for them..we would understand, but everyone else.....hmm..debatable

the title of the movie is the least of my worries right now..
Nelson's right.
Buuuut, a fan's idea might be transformed into a better one. But that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

If a movie is only assessable (read:comprehensible) to the die-hard fans who have seen/read all related material a million times, it's no good either. Writers and directors should have some idea of the source in a case like this, but to drown the movie in the old stuff would shut out a big audience, so a lot of money. And if you give the fans the chance the make the ideas, and rework them, movie makers will be even more buried than they are now, and then there are legal issues.
Can you guys imagine the disaster the TF movies would be if they were just for G1 purists or something? These movies aren't even the same continuity!

We don't even know what the movie is about. How could we hope to come up with a decent title? Leave it to the film crew.

LOL!! Awesome!
The best line of Transformers 1 came from a fan submission. I was disappointed they didn't do it again for TF2.

what line was that?
They had a contest to have a line that prime says in the movie, and the winner was, "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

Oh yeah... but a fan didn't come up with it. It was a line that already existed in the cartoons :) (http://www.moviesoundclips.net/movies1/transformers/freedom.wav)

Return of the Primes
or
The Battle for Cybertron
Use an Acronym or an abrieviation like
T$3:lol
I bet people would still see it. I know I would.

Sure we are, but isn't a 'title' of a movie something related to what the story-line is about? Therefore as much as we think our ideas for a title are great - their not realistically valid :) (did that come across right? Anyhow, you know what I'm getting at)

I don't remember that from the cartoon. What episode?

Exactly what I was thinking.
Though, I think it would sound better without the "the."
Transformers: Darkest Hour. Simple and easy to remember.
I'd suggest DAY OF UNICRON - assuming Unicron is the villain this time around.

In meaning no disrespect to all the hard work done on TF2, your telling me it needs to be a professional to comeup with stuff like "gimme your face", or "im under the enemy scrotum"?
All im saying is that it would be cool if in the extras of the TF3 BluRay you had an interview with M Bay where he explains that one or two ideas used in the movie, and i dont mean just the title, actually came from the fan base. Id feel pretty f*cking proud of myself if i could; in any way possible, say, "Damn, i gave my 2 cents and added to this great movie." Wouldnt you?

TF3 : The Awakening
if they'll put Unicron in the movie, The Awakening could be an awesome title.

The title depends on whats gonna happen in the movie..So i think until they're done with script and stuff, They wont reveal it..
And the title wont be something spoiling..But a thing that keeps you wondering. Just like 2 years ago when everyone kept wondering about who's the fallen is.. So dont expect any title like Transformers : The Birth Of Unicron.
I expect the title to be Transformers : Revenge Of Michael Bay xD.

My brother bought 2 copies of Lord Of The Rings extended edition.. And it had everything.. 2 dvds of interviews and how the made the movie.. It would be awesome if Transformers had such a thing..
