I predict it will be nominated in both Sound-categories and for the Visual Effects. However, I'm not so sure it will win. There are perhaps many a-holes in the jury that don't want to give the award to a Michael Bay-film. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if something like Pirates 3 or 300 won.

i would be EXTREMLY shocked if Transformers didn't win visual effects. In fact i'd probably just stop watching the Academy Awards. Although I see Pirates winning it cause it's a big franchise and because they invented a new type of on set mo-cap for the film. Transformers should win though.

Agreed, I would be more shocked to see Pirates win though, if I'm not mistaken they won already the visual effects award with the first movie.
Transformers should be shoe in for visual effects, they brought it something completely new to the table and delivered in spades. This is like Jurassic Park 2.0 :P
