Update:
For those of you that don't like the black option and prefer a lighter look, go to your User Control Panel (User-CP) and go to "Edit Options." Scroll down and got to "Miscellaneous Options" and then use the drop down menu and select "New-White" as your skin and click on the Save Changes" button.

I like it. I like the inclusion of the picture at the top of each section. And I've always been of fan of minimalist design. Reminds me of how Jony Ive describes Apple product designs as "essential", leaving out anything that is not needed.
Well done.
Will the forum look also be getting an update to match?

I do kinda like it though. Like a Pro-edit suite/ color grading suite. Is Nice! Yes! ;~)
I miss the "new posts" quick link at the top in the forums. Now its buried under a drop down menu. That one extra step is rather annoying. Bring that back to a main link/button and I call it awesome.
I do like the new web site design. I haven't checked everything out yet, but looks great.

It's not grey on black, it light grey and dark grey.
It should match the regular site, and the regular site is white. I like that you were aiming for simple, but maybe it's too simple. I'm going to mess around a little and show you what, in my opinion, the change should have been like - though it's debatable that it even needed a change.

listen guys... its Nelsons site and if he wants a change, its going to happen. I wouls suggest that if any dont like the change, then suggest to Nelson that you dont like it in a way that dont come off as you telling him he NEEDS to change it back or something of the such. I for one myself dont feel the new colors but from the looks of some things, Nelson may not be done yet? Nelson? I see all the smilies are not in color and I do stand with some of the others on the grey/black... it does feel a little to drab and makes me a bit sleepy hen looking at he sceen to long. Dark is good but just my two cents... to much is not good. I do on the other hand like the new layout of the site. Looks cleaner and crisp.

I've changed it to white, and I think it looks much better. I thought before it was the combination of dark colors and too simplistic design that made it bad, but now I just think it was the dark colors. It looks good white.

I find it interesting that many folks find the white background easier on the eyes. It could actually be more of a strain on the eyes. Monitors, tv, and other screens which are improperly set and are overly bright can cause unnecessary eye strain if the luminance is much brighter then the room/environment your in.
Usually lowering the brightness of your monitors should ease up on headaches caused by eyestrain. After a few minutes your eyes will adjust and the screen wont seem dark.
Of course the opposite can be true if your monitor is old and dull, or improperly set too dim. And if any of you guys are still using the old CRT tube monitors, That can also cause eye strain if the refresh rate is too slow.
Just a little FYI for anyone interested.

Hey, BTW, I was trying to change my profile pic to match, but it doesn't seem to be working. I know that the forum has just been changed around, so perhaps that functionality hasn't been totally implemented?
The white theme is a little too much white, the top bars on every reply post should be the same blue as in the top logo, makes it easier to read :) else the new site is ok ;)

I was sitting here eating my food and listening to music, clicked on my bookmark for here and...suddenly I forget what I'm listening to :) This new look is okay I suppose. I had grown to like the other ones, but I'm also known as a person that takes a while for things to grow on me (example: the music I was listening to was the soundtrack for Metal Gear Solid 3, which is a game I've owned since it was first released and I just now got into it, lol).
Also, to those who were complaining about the font color, is this much easier to read?
Edit: to change your forum skin to the WHITE ONE:
1- Go to User CP
2- Under the Settings & Options, click on Options
3- At the very bottom of the page is a drop down box for Forum Skin. There is a white version of this skin on there. Enjoy :)
