Guys help me out here:

In my opinion, what made the movie one of the biggest hits was the "art or technology of transforming" from something into a robot! Of course, there was the cast of familiar characters most of us grew up with that brought the movie to life as well, but lets talk about technologies to consider for TF2: I think that the next "technology" that should be introduced should be either "combining" forms and/or perhaps the introduction of "triple-changing" technology. Talking about combining, I guess that Devastator was the original combiner from G1 and perhaps might deserve a highlight in TF2, I just don't know if it's "movie-physics" feasible to have Constructicons jump off the ground and merge into their gestalt form. The Aerialbots doing a merge into Superion might be more realistic and feasible since this is more than likely to occur in the air. At the end of the day I am confident that uncle Michael B can make it happen either way. Speaking on the "technology of triple-changing" Astrotrain seems to be a favorite among the group, so I would definitely consider him. I am not sure if "Dinobot technology" should be introduced in TF2, but I am not writing the script, so I would be out of line in stating that it shouldn't. The next technology (probably better for TF3)to consider would be the gigantic transformers like Metroplex, Trypticon, and of course,..Unicron. I guess what I am saying here is that whenever the next set of TF movies come out, people already realize that "transforming" is going to occur, but what might captivate the audience even more is the type of transforming (combining, triple-changing, etc) that's introduced. Hey, if it's not too dorky perhaps a combination with Optimus Prime and another robot to make a super-mode might be a consideration! Senior members (i.e. Galvatron, Uraydo, Nelson,..etc,..) please tell me your thoughts about this,..I value your (as well as anyone's) opinions.:D

Hmmm..well I understand where you are coming from with wanting to see something different or more exciting instead of the same transforming each time, I would have to say that it probably would too confusing to the audience.

Now grant you, most people who are going to see the movie will have seen the first one and understand the basis of what/who all of the characters are. But these days, some of these "trilogy" movies we seem to be seeing these past few years are made so you can watch the movie and understand it immediately as if it was the first one to come out.

I would be afraid that a lot of people would get confused with the multiple transformations if each character had two or three combinations of alternate modes. It would be cool, but it would also be a lot for people to sort through to understand who is who all the time without any background at all in a basis of only a couple of hours to tell a story at the same time.

I like your thoughts on what you posted though. A couple of alternate modes might not be bad for a couple transformers if they are able to explain the background of it to an extent. :D

And what I posted, I make mention of on the basis that any person could go and get a firm understanding of the movie without knowing a whole lot about TF in the process.

Well speaking of combinations, didn't Prime and Ultra Magnus merge together to form Omega Prime? That was cool I can't remember which cartoon series it was in but I do remember it though. It was the one where prime was a fire truck with a water hose for a cannon. Magnus was something else but of equal mass.
