why wouldnt they be. The movie was a ridiculous success, and they're cars looked great in the movie. If anything, other car companies are now kicking themselves in the face

Yeah, well they obviously need GMC now because the Autobots are already GMC vehicles. Although, unless they have some sort of exclusivity contract, they could certainly let other companies sponsor other characters. Dodge Viper? Jeep Wrangler? Ford GT40? Bugatti Veyron? Lamborghini Murciélago? Mini Cooper?

Bugatti & Lamborghini are current subsidiaries of Volkswagen = never say never, but probably not gonna happen. They're just snobs when it comes to allowing which movies showcase their vehicles (and not because of the war toys argument of old) (read: Bourne Ultimatum, The Dark Knight)

As far as the others, it may also come down to who's gonna allow their cars to be villains, and if the good guys get a re-format, etc. (ala' Barricade: Saleen/not Ford).

Ultimately this may all be moot if the GM/Saleen relationship remains intact.

I would hope so since Ironhide is a GMC..

and since they are a devision of General Motors yea I would hope they bring back all of them as they are..

I wouldn't want them to change the existing cast (I can't imagine that they would go to the time and expense of redesigning them anyway) but I'm wondering if it is contractually possible to use other companies to supply new characters in the sequel...

That is the question..and picking GM you really have alot of cars to choose from..Saturn, Pontiac, GMC, Chevy, Buick, SAAB, Hummer, Caddy..alot of potential there with the lineups in each company..

Heck Buicks got some "younger" offerings it might throw out in the next few years..Saturn has them already.. Pontiac has them too..so putting cool cars in where needed GM is a one stop shop..

again also Saleen..they got a lineup too..and we have not seen the S7 yet ;)

Seriously though, I'd like to see some other car companies sponsoring the film alongside GM.....not necessarily all North American

Since Jazz is gone, the crew needs another "Little engine that could" How about a "Smart car" :D

GENERIC MADE CHEVY...why ya think most of them are plain and white?Just like generic brand items....except for Ironhide.Ya have to special order him at $83,00ish? I know,I checked.And he only gets 7.5 miles per gallon?

:D ...the plain jain 4500 series truck is mucho ugly.....The Ironhide version is borderline OK.

I wonder if we'll see any Red vehicles in the next movie. On the DVD, Bay said it's hard to shoot the Color red...... Sounds like a feat to overcome

Well, I for one don't want to see to many repaints in the Live Action Series. We don't need 18 Ironhides or Bumblees in every colour of the rainbow....

One or two aint bad, but should have different Bot mode transformations.....kinda like Sunstreaker and Sideswipe were in the Old days.
