I would agree with Dev on that one..

actually after watching TDK a few times..it really is not that "great" movie..all the hoopla over Ledger..was he great yes..made the rest of the movie tank..

and now I am being serious..

after all the gaga over Ledgers joker dies down and people see it a few times. they will see that it was a good crime movie..and a good comic movie..at best.

Best comic movie that stayed true to its roots..Iron Man hands down..not one thing was wrong with it transfering it from page to film..

Batman (Tim Burton)
Spider Man 1 and 2
Iron Man
Wanted
HellBoy 1 and 2

Dark Knight would've made had it not been for Bales absolutely ridiculous voice that in my opinion turns the flick into a comedy. Still think Keaton is the best Batman after all these years.

Oooh another Nausicca fan.

Where's the love for "Akira", "Heavy Metal" or "Riki-oh: The Story of Ricky"? those are badass.

"Conan" is originally a book before it was a comic book series.

still not a comic movie. no where, in the credits does it say it was based on the story ark of the comic. in fact, it states that it was based of the the toys. so it's a toy movie.

Damn if your comic book guy I must be comic book king on here..:lol

been about 1984 here and there with issues and one was Transformers and yes that very comic. I still have it also G.I. Joe and a few others.. Then about 1989 started collecting about 10 comics a week since then give or take a few issues a week. 1989 to 2009...

You do the math..

Oh my older brother Neil collected alot of those TF comics when he was a teen back in the 80's.

Every serious comic book movie fan has to see "Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky", "Oldboy", "Akira", "Ichi The Killer", "Ghost in The Shell", and "Cemetery Man" which are excellent foriegn made comic book movies based on international comic books.

The '86 TF movie is based off the toys and cartoon not the comic whatsoever. They blatantly say it in the special features of the 20th ann. special edition. They killed the characters to make room for more toys and that's the conversation when they say its not of the comic.

Always hated comics + Stupid superhero crap.

The Dark Knight is so much more than a comic flick. That movie is a masterpiece, really something special.

Also methinks Transformers 2 might be an epic fail if Bay has taken a more serious approach to the story, without as much humor it'll suck.

Whoa, this is like the total opposite of what many of the fans think. Though, I don't think it would fail, I believe comic relief is a plus.

I gotta say my favorite all time comic book movie is not TDK (that's #2) but batman Begins. Hey sue me, I love the references to Miller's Batman Year One as well and Loeb and Sale's run on the batman title.

Aside from that, Donner's Superman, Road To Perdition, X2, Hellboy, Spider-Man 2, Watchmen (flaws, ommisitons and all), oh, and Burton's Batman.

I'm a DC fan mostly by he way.

On my wish list are Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Flash (Barry Allen), Ex Machina, Y The Last Man, Captain America, Powers (Bendis's best work IMO)

No it's not, and you need the original 7 in viable movies before you can team them up. Unless you want to spend half the movie explaining who they are and what they can do to Joe Public.

Let's see...

Watchmen - honestly the best comic-to-movie adaptation I've ever seen. Sure, there are differences, but [spoiler ahead] a giant squid attacking NY doesn't quite go well with today's standards [end spoiler]. I did finish the comic after I saw the film (hey I got it a day before I saw it), but wow, it is a really good adaptation.

Let me just conclude by saying this: Jackie Earl Haley NAILED Rorschach's character. AMAZING. Actually, there are no words.

Batman

Superman

X-Men

Spiderman

I think that's all I've read to be honest. *scratches head*
