View Full Version : Chip Foss from TLC show? should do some cars
Hello Mr. Bay,
I think Chip Foss would be a great go-to-guy. His designs are awsome. And I do think he could come up with a great Soundwave Desepticon.
OR
Maybe you could get the people from the DUB magazine to come up with a Desepticon.
OR
Perhaps a contest could be held for some new car, movie, and charicter ideas.

I like alot of Chip Foose's designs. While I know he done quite a bit of mods on some of the newer vehicles, when I think of a Foose design, I think more of a frame-up, resto/re-imagining of a car at least over 20 years old. Unless Bay decides to go that custom, I personally don't see it happening. That's just me.
Incidently, Foose had a hand in that bad-ass "Eleanor" Shelby Mustang from the latter Gone in 60 Seconds. (I think Jerry Bruckheimer kept one of them)
As far as those featured in Dub, as long as you're not referring to something akin to a Louis Vuitton-upholstered, Chameleon-finished, lambo-kitted Caprice on 24's. :p j/k

lets revive an old topic:)
Chip Foose is very good at what he does. I'm just not sure the world is ready for Two Tone paint jobbed robots ;)
...But Jazz would be the likely candidate for "Overhauled" :D
...or how about..."pimp my autobot" ???
(yah......I'm bored....killin time before I have to go to work :p)

Man, this thread is old. Haha.
Never say never. Bay did mention the word Geriatric. :D
Now whether it's one of these:

or one of these:

is anyone's guess. (j/k)

Back on topic..Chip is great except, like someone already stated,he works on older cars and adds a new twist to the build. But I think this team has enough expensive free agents right?Save the funds for more Transformer characters.More military involvement, and most of all the talented stars.= a recipe for a great part2!!!I may have to pee in the seat this time at the movies.I missed alot of scenes going to use the bathroom in excitement during the first movie.

he modifies newer cars as well, its just the he made his name customizing the older cars; it just so happens that his more notable cars for the most part have bee the older one.

...and now back to our regularly scheduled program!
Yes, Foose is doing newer vehicles....such as the F150's for ford. But there's more out there than just his simple but sweet designs
a lot of cues to be taken from the SEMA show for instance...everything from mild to wild

I hadn't seen any of his newer models.I didn't know he did that kinda stuff. He seemed passionate about older cars on 'Overhauled'.I'd like to see some.any pics?....I didn't mean the "Peeing in the seats" comment either people....sheesh?

Don't know about the Mustang sales, but the truck was a one off.
*edit* These Limited Ed.'s were apparently going to be a joint effort with the same company now in trouble/under investigation for the "Eleanor" replica fiasco.

Well, whatever the sales numbers were. They probably didnt sell like the others.Like Shelby Roush, and Saleen. Then ther was the gas 302 edition. It would be interesting to see what he would make though.I do not wanna take anything from the man,he can do cars.He has talent.I just havent seen anything new.I would like to see old Transformers though.Like his F100 with a wrap-around back window.
