Rob Rock - Garden of Chaos (2007) 3.5/5
Fine classic metal album from one legendary singer. Heavy, catchy and with a great vocal performance. Recomended for classic heavy metal fans.
Some clips here (http://www.myspace.com/robrock1)

Planet Terror OST (2007) 4/5
Something like heavy noisy agresive abiental music. Has all the "hostile place" feeling of the film. I'd recomend it.

Well, really i haven't heard any Impellitteri album. I discover Rob Rock accidentally when he released Rage of Creation, and now i haven't heard anything since Holy Hell. Now i read about the new album and consider it was a good moment to re-hear 'em all.

Dream Theater - Octavarium (2005) 3,5/5
Fine progressive metal album by the most important band in the genre. First half of it isn't bad, but quite boring. But second half (starting in Panic Attack) is absolutely awesome. Of course all songs are filled with great technical details from all the members of the band.

Lost Horizon - A Flame to the Ground Beneath (2003) 5/5
Amazing and complex melodic speed metal album. It's full of epic feeling and every song is a hymn. One of the best european power metal albums ever.

I caught that video on IMF. I was like is that System of a Down?! Then realized it was the front man on a solo album. I liked it! Video was great.
I am just waiting to hear when the heck 3 Doors Down is going to put out a 4th album. If you REMOTELY like rock. Go to a 3 Doors concert. Brad Arnold has the best vocals in the business in lbs. to lbs. live show.

Dude, I know it's been a long time since you posted this, but somehow I missed this post.
I did see 3 Doors Down in concert. They were awesome. I would even go as far to say, I liked them better live then I did on album. Not to the extreme of Godsmack where I can't listen to the album at all, but lover there concerts, but still better than the albums. Breaking Benjamin was also there, and they were awesome as well. Staind was as well, but they were the weaker act.

they do more than Metallica covers, but there covers of verious rock bands are the best. there original stuff, not so great. They do have a few original songs I enjoy though.

I haven't heard much of them but it didn't seem like something I could get into. Metallica songs with out the words just ain't the same to me.
As for Iron Horse, they may have started out as a Metallica cover band, but they do other covers as well. There Modest Mouse album is freaking awesome.
