Seeing has how XBOX payed for advertising in the movie, and how in Michaels last 2 films XBOX has been featured, will this movie be available for download in high definition through XBOX Live....seeing as how this will currently be my only way of getting it in high def....so to speak, i realize these downloads arent true high def

because im not about to throw down a couple hunderd bucks to buy an hd-dvd player...only to have it possibly loose out in this format war and then have it be a waste of my money. so for me personally...this is currently my only feasible option

I've never downloaded a movie off of LIVE but I can't imagine it being great quality.

When you download a movie from xBox live, you rent it. You don't own it. If you the rental period has expired, you're gonna have a movie that you can't view and have to pay to see again.

Just buy the $150 HD-DVD add-on. It's not like you're forking down $500 for a Blu-ray player.

i've been thinking about just getting the add-on, but i'm having a hard time just throwing down $150 to be neutral in a ridiculous format war....i rather that $150 go towards something much more substantial, then a piece of hardware that may become obsolete. If I can find a good deal on one, i might make the leap to being format neutral.

Dude, this format war won't be over soon unless Warner Bros. goes HD-DVD exclusively. They're in for the long haul...millions of dollar spent, no one s going to back down for the next 5 years.

You've just convinced me to get the add-on for my 360.

The HD rentals you find on xBox Live Marketplace are far more compressed than what's on an HD DVD, in addition to being 1280x720 instead of 1920x1080 resolution. I think they come in at around 6GB. Definitely better than standard definition, but by no means a suitable replacement for what you get on a next-generation disc.
