I always loved that lil mentally challenged dinobot.:)

So whats the deal with him? Why is he like that? I always wondered, but don't remember from the show too much. Bad programing?

He and the other Dinobots were built by Wheeljack, unfortunately he practically matched their intelligence to dinosaurs and so the mentally challenged, disobedient, and insaine Grimlock was born.

A friend of mine told me in one of his smarter incarnations, a computer virus is what caused him to speak like the lovable lug nut he is.

So then what about his mates.. Sludge, Snarl, Slag and Swoop, were they all condemned to the same virus, even though Swoop and Snarl came later? I recall the one episode .. Grimlock's New Brain when he creates Computron, that he got zapped by a computer from chewing the cord to become smarter, and then transferring his brain power to Computron to be back to his old self, but as far as being dumber, I've never heard that one before.

LOL.. I started catching myself up on the Animated series watching the episodes on veoh.com. I got up to episode 7 so far.. Finally got to see the Dinobots in action.. lol.. Grimlock said something really funny.. but.. I don't recall what it was just now.. then again that was about 15 hours ago.. so yeah..
