 hmm...makes some good points but I think he's full of himself. I totally agree with him about Megan Fox.

I don't think Bay is THAT bad. sure he has told some bad stories, such as Pearl Harbor and Transformers, but I rather enjoy his visuals. and if the guy couldn't hear what the characters were saying I suggest he gets a new hearing aid, cause I heard everything perfectly.

Who the F is Mark Kermode. And why should I care what he thinks. Let alone care who he is.

His name almost sounds like 'camode', except with 'ker' in it.

:o

*And this concludes the random thought from me today.*

Thought I'd post it since he disses movies every ones likes (star wars) and loves (basic instinct 2) what others hate. I like how he does look at movies story first like a critic should. Check out his wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Kermode)

I have to be honest that guy is a joke. It's people like that if they were given the chance to direct a movie wouldn't even know where to start. So not just in Bay's defense but in all directors defense, drink some tea and chill out guy! Anyone can be a critic and most would be better than him.

Thats funny.. when I first read it, I thought ya guys were talking about Kermit D Frog.

I just skimmed over that wikipedia page, and the guy sounds like a real idiot. Says he didn't like any of the Pirates of Carribean movies? Hmmm.. or Good Luck Chuck.. which I found to be good... the guy sounds like he's got something stuck up his butt, and has never gotten it removed..

I hate pretentious movie critics. They should really be grateful 24/7 that they've got one the laziest, best jobs in the entire world. There's nothing worse than whiny, unenthusastic critics who always have to be ironic about every movie they dislike, and be proud over there opinion and think to highly of themselves. Not to mention sound pissed off and say things like "Bay has to be stopped. This is an assault to humantity". There are some critics that I really like though, and it's people from Roger Ebert (He is just real, he's a 100% movie lover and that you should be if you have that job), to John Fallen who writes for arrowinthehead.com and reviews mostly horror flicks to those guy who posts videos on youtube... scene-stealers.com I think, they're very likeable.

If you're gonna mention Ebert, you can't forget Siskel.

Since when has a critic ever given a positive review to really big films? Never. They always give the best reviews to low budget independant films that nobody has ever or will ever see.

This is a prime example of the kind of reviewer who gives controversial reviews for the publicity. It's pathetic. Thats all it is. Period.

The only point he had was the one about Megan Fox. She was 20 when they filmed....but definitely looks older. Other then that the guy was wrong on every level. I've been able to agree with peoples negative reviews even though I've liked the film, because I can over look a lot..but this guy is a joke.

Controversial for publicity. This yokel gets to go on radio and TV because he's controversial. Thats it. And I'm sure he makes a decent living because of it.

Siskel was great as well. Neither him or Ebert would ever sink so low to call any actor or director the "devil" (as some has done to Bay) or advice the director to stop making movies and go make porn  They always had some respect for the filmmakers, cast and crew, even if they did dislike the film, which is the way to go. Mark Kermode sounds more like a very hyperactive, constantly negative, grumpy IMDB-message board user.
