Transformers was great fun to watch and I still like to watch it from time to time on DVD. Here are the things I would like for Transformers 2!
I would like to see Optimus Prime's mouth redesigned. I thought it was placed too low on his face. Ideally for me, he just has a face plate and no mouth. Wasn't keen on the front view of his nose without the face plate.
The transformers had so much detail that when they moved quickly, it was very difficult to see them satisfactorily. How will this problem be handled with so many more transformers in Transformers 2?
I hope Bumblebee has an american accent in the next movie.
I didn't feel that Optimus Prime was much of a match against Megatron. It seemed that Megatron could kick his ass.
When Optimus transformed near the end of the movie to face Megatron, he puts his guard up with his arms spread real far apart. That was rather corny lol. It was like a corny martial arts pose.
I didn't think Optimus Prime sounded the same as in the G1 cartoons. More like an older man. I heard Peter wasn't coached in any way for the movie. I hope he's directed so that he sounds exactly like the G1 Optimus Prime, if thats even possible (His voice may have changed too much).
I thought Leonard Nimoy's Galvatron voice was perfect for his character.
When the Autobots were outside the Witwicky's home, Optimus muttered "Can't you be quiet for once? What's wrong with you?!" Seemed like a weak way for a military leader to get his men to do something.

Uhhhhh.. ok? The whole mouthpiece thing.. there were many people who argued with Bay about it in the first place.. He originally had a different design and he got feedback from several people and finally met a medium with a lot of people on the look he had going with Prime.
Leonard Nimoy was for Galvatron, why would you want him to be Prime?
What do you mean by an american accent for Bumblebee? It sounded pretty American to me.

I think there could be an importan improvement. We need to fear for the lead characters. We need to get surprised and think that they could die to give a bit more emotion.

could be done in Poster Ads....Have Prime's head dissmembered, and lifeless near some important monuments

The only improvements I'd make are more Decepticon screentime. My biggest fear for the sequel is that it becomes too serious in tone, I hope it keeps the slightly tongue in cheek, playful tone, and heart of the first film.

I would personally like to see more robot fight scenes. Not shooting one and other but actual Im going to kick your ass with my bare metal hands fight. That's all. Im happy with everything else. Optimus Prime says bring on the UFC for TF2.

I agree with you there...as long as there isn't too much repetition...like the Harry Potter Fiasco....The first one was really good...the second one good as well....but after that...it just got lamer, and lamer
I've got a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more decepticonism in the second film ;)

Bumblebee's accent didn't sound american at all to me.

The only thing I didn't get from the movie is Megatrons Jet formation. So Megatron scanned a jet in seibertron then came to earth, cause their no jet like that. I apologize if this was discussed before.:)

Megs thinks he's so superior he didn't have to scan into the form of earth's technology.
That's what makes his character really evil, in my opinion anywhoos.

Megatron didn't have time to scan........His primary focus was the Allspark. I've a feeling if he should return, he'll assume an earth friendly alt mode.
A big improvement for tf2....The transformers will learn/adapt better to earths terrain while in robot form. I liked the way they had the occasional slip, and trying to stay balanced while transforming, and running in robot mode. That was a nice added touch

Why not just re-do the first movie if thats the case..
IMO - The important improvements are Decepticon Screentime/Banter. And ofcourse, the new robots, in the sense that they dont act the same as the bots in #1.
Bumblebee soundd British to me. I hope he is :D
The film will just be way too American if every robot is American. Sheesh. There is more than American voices on the WorldWideWeb

My wish for TF2 is that I would really like to see more martial arts style hand-to-hand combat in the next film. The fight between Optimus and Bonecrusher stands out as one of my favorite scenes in the first movie.

1: i agree with the swordfight being 1 of the best scenes in the movie even tho its short and bonecrusher dies premature in the movie liked to see more of him perhaps more sword fighting
2: implement more of the comic pre's id say add in wreckage :D thats me ;) joking swindle payload arcee dreadwing they are already toys & in the comics
3: the prime mouth did have a sort of mouth plate in teh battle didnt it? maybe put it back there more often when they are on the road etc maybe only take it away at tea time :D

Not necessarily super-stylized wire-fu like in the Matrix but definitely hand-to-hand grappling and throws, takedowns where pieces fly off, that sort of thing. Kung fu is supposedly to be messy!
and re: Prime's mouth shield... I also adore Bee's little faceplate. The bits and bobs on these robots are cool when that have that sort of utility to them. That scene where Bee lifts his eye shields it to have a look around after the crash really gives him a personable quality because, really, why have a plate if there's nothing vulnerable beneath it? :o And how funny is that I'm going on about how *adorable* a giant robot is? :D

Bee lifting his eye shields was absolutely cute. It showed us his sweet nature.
Despite some unpopularity among people, I like Prime's face uncovered at ordinary times.
When he's talking without his mouth shield, we can see his warm personality.
But once he puts his faceplate on, it looks like he masks his emotion too, and we realize he can be a dreadful soldier if he has to.
And I like his sad look too. :o

umm yeah dont say peter cullen did a bad job, he did a fantastic job, man you have to take into account that he was doing the original optimus prime voice in the 1980's
........ that was over 20 years ago man, peoples voices change, he is getting older, he didnt need trainging, it was perfectly fine, he just sounds older, nobody could have done it better, NOBODY

Seeing Prime with a mouth was a bit of a shock when I first saw it. But I like it. It really does suit him, and the appeal of the autobots...How the hell are they supposed to eat/drink energon with those face shields anyway;)

I presume Optimus takes an Enegon crystal, load it in, and the energy in the cube is fired.
And Decepticons were swigging fluid Energons. :D
But wouldn't it be fun to speculate why even Megatron (He didn't scan any Earthly machine) did have a human-lke figure?
On the contrary, if they happen to find Pioneer-10 or Voyager-1 and see the line drawings of human body on the golden records,
they might wonder why these weird bipedal-vertebrates look similar to them.
Endlessly interesting. ;)

Eating, drinking, loading, wiring.. they seem to do whatever they can to survive. :D
And getting back on the track.. I add some wishes to the list.

I agree with you on three points. bumblebee does need to have a better voice thing. like the radio character when the autobots were being introduced. The little martial arts pose thing was a bit retarded. it looked really weird. And yes, optimus needs to kick megatrons butt more.
