I've been re-watching them on YouTube (God I love YouTube!) and I must say I really love Prowl, Wheeljack, the twins (sideswipe and sunstreaker) and Ravage.
I like big cats, what can I say?

Not to mention the legal issues, the cosmetic changes,the plates,the t-shirts,and last but not least.....the toys.I intend on ordering t-shirts when I have enough parts on my car that it looks like Barricade for those of you wondering from my post along while back.I love Barricade and the autobot I like most is.......Bumblebee.:D

When I was in grade 3, I got my first transformer G1 Jazz...he was my second fav at the time. I loved his character, and his boomin stereo. The twins were awesome too (Sunstreaker/Sideswipe)...Loved their jet judo stunt. But Prime was, and always be my fav.............I never forgave my parents for not buying me an optimus prime as a kid................Damn you mom and dad:D....Anyhow, once they realized transformers was a violent cartoon...they tried to ban me from watching it..........:rolleyes: Optimus was a mentor to me in my childhood
......Without Optimus Prime, there would be no such thing as Transformers IMO!...........Hell season three didn't last long without him...and he was referenced in just about every other episode ! .....and I thought it was ridiculous to kill him off again in the Japanese headmaster series.................(Fort Max....was yet another awesome Character.) Victory, and Zone were mediocre...In Masterforce we saw Convoy(Prime) again...but I really wasn't impressed with someone else being Prime's engine
I can't say that I love Prime as much as Sora does, but he is my fav......hell she's probably got tons of pics standing next to His Statue in China

From the movie I liked Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Barricade, and Frenzy the most.
If we're talking G1 comics my faves were Shockwave, and Galvatron.
I can't say that I love Prime as much as Sora does, but he is my fav......hell she's probably got tons of pics standing next to His Statue in China
I wondered what the statue in China is, and googled..
I almost rolled around the floor laughing literally. It's great! It might be a very good reason for me to visit China. :D

Being in China, the statue is just a knock-off of the real thing ;)

The knock-off comment was a joke..........as in everything that comes from china is a cheaper version of a quality product......believe me. The Chinese even go as far to recreate official product names, and try to pass them off as the real thing

My favourites in Bay's film...
Autobots - Jazz, with Ratchet as a close second.
Decepticons - Bonecrusher and Barricade (a Decepticon police car was a great idea!)
As for G1, I really liked the Seacons, the Combaticons, Soundwave & Nightbeat.

Ahhh.. ok.. that makes sense about the cheaper version bit. Yeah it looked like some company that might have been one of those places where they actually make the film reels or something. I thought I had heard at one time that when the different studios get done "filming" then they send it away to put it all "on film" or on the "reels". So I was sort of guessing that this was one of those outsourcing companies. On wikipedia someone typed in that he was located near several automobile dealerships, but its not too specific.

My son likes takin the big swordfish from across the construction site and beating up decepticreeps during that first mission when all the clones come crashing down on earth.

I was so impressed by Michael's movie that just couldn't get a favourite character from there. The fact they all actually were there was dominant.
As for G1.. well, i guess it's rather obvious:) That wasn't always that way, but at some moment i just realized that somehow that unique combination of design and character. Besides it's fun sometimes to play the role)
As for others.. Of course it's Optimus Prime - a legendary autobot leader, Rodimus - one of the most complex and interesting characters in G1 imo, other post movie 1986 characters. They seem interesting and much deeper to me than their predecessors from seasons 1 and 2.
Also Beast Wars really cought me with their characters, writers did a great job) As well as animators of course, but still)
Let's hope the second film will bring in some new characters in more complex way and develop existing ones, so that we could like them not because of design or something, but because of their acts and words.

Aww man! I got my game 5 days ago! I love it! Also because I can play Jazz!:D(I was a little disapointed with the graphics though, for PS2.) Oh well, can't be impressed by everything I guess... And my fav charecter, well obvious enough. JAZZ ROCKS HELL YEAH!:cool:

Hotrod/Bumblebee since the movie made Hotrod and named him Bumblebee...lol, sry but its how it seems, or does no one else think Bumblebee was the red-headed step-child of the transformers and after all, Hotrod was to Daniel (in the animated movie), what Bumblebee is to Sam in the new movie. And all Bumblebee ever did was get Spike to safety and hide with him, or get trashed...lol.
Sorry to have ruffled any feathers, but Hotrod was always my favorite then this....I have now forgiven all and moved on, but please don't do that with any other main characters.
As an original G1 fan, this was one of two real complaints I had (that I couldn't just live with) about the whole new movie, and that's really not bad. The other problem I had with it was when Megan said, 'High rise double pump carbeurator'???, is there even such a thing. I know there is a high rise intake and a double pump carb, but i didn't think they had merged the two into one piece of equipment...or maybe I am mistaken...lol, then the view of the engine shown was that of a fuel injected engine. Oh, do teens really talk like this, '...piece of crap Camaro'? Because I always hear 'POS' but never the other...lol.
As for whether I even liked it or not?...let's just say I have 4 different versions on DVD and copies of all of those un-opened. So yeah, I watch it anytime it is on :)
I would have to say G1 Hoist.

I dunno though, with the Autobots it's kinda hard to say I mean, Prime is definitely my favorite [kinda idolized him when I was little], G1 Jazz = awesome, Ironhide, Wheeljack and the twins [Sunstreaker/Sideswipe] are also up there on my list. The Decepticons on the other hand are a bit easier, Shockwave is numero uno, Thundercracker, and of course... Soundwave [all G1]
In the movie, I liked 'em all, so....

Grimlock is my fav because in the first 2 seasons of the cartoon and in the comics he was powerful and ruthless and a little bit mean. The only thing i hated about him was by the end of season 3 they had him in a apron baking cookies :wtf

When I was a kid...I always had Mirage, Hound and Ultra Magnus with me. Looking back on it, Mirage was one of the crappiest toys but I loved the idea of an indy car coming to life. I'd still love to see an actual race car in the film.

It's perfectly understandable, Bumblebee has what you call "badass cuteness." When my cousin watched the S7 scene where he get's captured she was like "OMG is he gonna die??!!!!"
What I really don't get is why Starscream is such a chick magnet. What do they see in that creep?

My wife loves smart-asses, which is probably why she married me. Her attraction to Starscream came from the original movie when Starscream kicks Megatron while he is down.

Starscream "Not anymore" then throws him out. God I loved that. I like Megatron and all. But I really want to see Starscream be able to get some jabs at Megatron like in the cartoon.

There were so many, and I did like a lot of the post movie characters, some already listed.
I love the concept of The Headmasters, I just hate the alien/human aspect of them. I would have liked it better if they were two different robots with their own minds (or processors).

Optimus Prime for me. Built this over the course of one night for a party me and the dude in the picture threw: http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p233/EnkatsuTsuriai/zOptimus017.jpg
It doesn't show the detail as well as I'd like, but there are lovingly painted Autobot symbols on the shoulders. It's definitely not the coolest Prime I've seen built, but I figure for maybe 8 hours construction including painting over one night with no sleep and made entirely from cardboard and masking tape... Yeah.
He got ripped to shreds by drunken insanity later that night, but it was still highly awesome for a time. Next up we're thinking of doing something that transforms, or just a more detailed Transformer. Am taking suggestions/requests!

My favorite in both G1 and Bayformers would be Starscream.
G1 for obvious reasons (the only decepticon with a real character, plan and history beside Megatron).
I couldn't help to like him in Bayformers, mostly because they really showed him as a really powerful warrior, who took on both Ironhide and Ratchet at the same time and beat them.
The dogfight with the other Raptors was really groovy as well.
And his voice! I loved the sound of: I live to serve you Lord Megatron/ The humans have taken it!
Just awesome, I hope he gets some really nice scenes in RotF. :)
