While watching Kill Bill on TV, I realised why Bay chose the piece of music from Tarantino's film to accompany the scene where Bumblebee reformats. It's so obvious I don't know why I didn't notice it before.

Here's the Kill Bill scene:

There's a scene where she's following Sofie Fatale on a yellow motorbike and they stop at a traffic light right in front of a tunnel just like the one in Transformers.

I wonder if we'll see any similar easter eggs in TF2.

The piece of music is called "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" and it's by Tomoyasu Hotei.

Kill Bill also featured a jazz band version of Flight of the Bumblebee:

I don't think it's an easter egg so much as a homage, but it is neat that you caught that. Q and Bay are friendly, as I recall so it's probably just a tip of the hat.

(I love the fact that the 'bots movements are based on ninja and other fighters and athletes. Totally, totally gorgeous movements. Kill Bill is an awesome kung fu movie, and there just aren't enough of those in American film, damn it!)

So we should expect some Death Proof references in TF2 mebbe? :D

Whose alt mode could this be?:

The Kill Bill films ARE AWESOME!!!! Probably my favorite of Tarantino's works.

As for homage, yup, I agree, but Bay kill off Bee? NAAAHHHH!!!

I was going to keep my mouth shut, but this much love for Kill Bill is making me sick. I hated those movies so freaking much. I was lucky and didn't have to pay to see them. It was like a porno, but instead of sex, it was violence. the only thing that I have seen that was worst, to date, was Crank.

another reason I hated it was because all the people I DID have sympathy for died, and the main protagonist was so hard to root for. In fact, if she would have died it would have made me happy.

Durn dude....harsh.

But that's cool. Everyone has an opinion and it differs. If we were all the same, this would be one fucking boring world.

and I haven't seen Crank.

I love Kill Bill. Violence porn is something like a Hostel. KB's violence was perversely comical. (didn't even try to look real)

I saw the KB reference in TF the second I heard the first part of that song.

Bee will go off to learn the 5 Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique for pt.2. :D

Sidenote: Crank was another one of those movies I like to call High Fructose Corn Syrup movies. The sugar rush was nice while it was happening, but the letdown sucked. (read: won't be watching it again, the novelty wore off quickly)

I love the Kill Bill movies! I too noticed the lil reference in that tunnel scene. As i downloaded Battle Without Honour or Humanity after seeing the kill bill movies. cant reember if the song is in vol1 or vol 2 but yeah. And the colour of Bumblebee.. lol. thought it was quite clever, probably no deep meaning though.

I'd have to say I didn't much care for the Kill Bill movies. All the jumping around, flashbacks, black and white images.. gahh.. it gave me a headache. It just seemed like the story line and plot were all jumbled.. felt like you had to be stoned to understand anything..

I did see Crank, and I kinda liked it.. I mean.. hell I love adrenaline rushes.. maybe its why I drink so much Mt Dew.. heh heh heh heh heh.. You ever slam a can .. ohhhhh the rush.. different type of rush.. but still a rush.. or like... speeding down the interstate at 120 mph.. wheeeee.. or.. as a kid giving Mr Dillard a surprise on the front step.. (bag full of dog poop that ya light on fire so when he stomps it out.. the .. poop gets all over his foot). Or.. or.. getting into fights at a bar (cuz some drunk won't leave a female friend alone and needs to be taught a lesson).. or.. skydiving.. or.. ahh.. so much stuff.. so little time.. oh what was I talkin about? lol.. oh.. Crank.. yeah.. I liked the movie.. :)

It's kinda like watching a mystery/thriller movie. Once you know what happens....the effect is gone.

I laughed my butt off when he said "do I looke like I got C**T written on my forehead?" ...and the scene with his girlfriend in front of the bus in public
