Love that film. Never watched it on TV though. Pan & Scan, commercial breaks. I'd rather watch the Director's Cut DVD :)

This summer it will be 10 years since it opened btw.

That love story was pretty harmless. If you would delete it the movie would get like 10 minutes shorter so big deal, d'you know what I mean? They didn't base the film around it which they did with Pearl Harbor.

True but it was just to forced, to sappy, just didn't feel natural, just a plot device to get the ladies in the seats, which to it's credit, worked. And to be honest, a 10 minutes shortened cut would be MUCH appreciated.

I read about the damage from a fire thing on the HD master, but with it being such a big movie they NEED TO give it the grand BluRay treatment.

Please tell me they're working on a new master and getting this ready for BluRay. Having to resort to a non-anamorphic widescreen only version DVD just sucks and deserves to be seen in the highest quality!
