Any truth to Michael Bay directing a film about Princess Diana? Would be very interesting!!!

The instant backlash would be a billion times greater than Transformers and Pearl Harbor put together!

However, if it was done tasteful I'm pretty sure he could pull it off! I'm already bored of 'giant fucking robots'!

Actually, I was curious about this, too but I don't expect an answer for a while. Honestly, I thought it was a prank at first because the first newssite reporting it was based in Estonia, which I'm pretty sure is *not* a hotbed of film industry rumours... but then a half dozen other sources picked it up. Either those sites are getting played, or there's something to it. I figured the best and most proper thing to do is to ask Bay directly.

But anyway! Giant Fucking Robots 2 is more important! And then we have 2010 to think about! And the inevitable 2010/Avatar combat! Wheeeeee!

The only way i'm going to watch a Mr Bay film about Diana is if its got Big Fighting robots in it:D.

Lol I can see your points. Transformers was a cool film, but being a Bay fan for about 10 years now, I'm just bored of explosions. It may sound strange, but he's clearly the best at filming action, no one can even come close, but now because he's the best it's seems like every next attempt is forced to better the previous.

With no disrespect to Transformers fans, for years I heard him saying he was gonna do something smaller. After the brilliant comdey in BB2 and the amazing first half of The Island, I thought we could get something different like Fargo or The Usual Suspects. So when I then heard he was doing Transformers, it was like FFS.

Don't get me wrong it was a fun film and I'd watch it anytime, but now TF2 is announced, it means I have to wait another few years for something to really excite me. I dunno, this sounds negi and Bay-hating, which i totally don't mean to be. Pearl Harbor has some heavy shit going on with the haunting images of burning soldiers and the scenes of people drowning... now to me it's like 'let's see how much chaos we can fit in a frame and lets replace beautiful cinematography with cool cinematography'.

I understand what you mean and yes it would be nice to see Mr Bay make a nother type of film other than Action blockbusters. I just can't see it being a film about Diana thats all.

He's action movie director not saying he can't make a horror,Drama and other type's of films. But Mr Bay likes to take time at picking his next film projects.

I'm going out on a limb here guesssing Mr Bay was thinking about making TF2 about 12months into filming the first Tf movie and yes i know what he said in the special features of TF.
