This is supposedly a screen test and not from the actual movie...though you could have fooled me. There was a much much better quality version up on another site but it was taken down.

No kidding guys this has been in talks since what.. 2001? maybe before. Was originally going to be live, then was going to be done like Polar Express. Bout time. Most of us that grew up with this book are not all going to have kids who are old enough to see it. I don't, and unless I meet a chick who wants to see it just so damn bad I think I'll wait for the reviews and maybe.
WALL-E FTW!!!!!

I'd rather people took time on stuff rather than screw it up.. but Nukem is still in WORKS?! WOOT! Wolfenstein (sp) is another good series of early games.

Nukem will supposedly be out this year...but thats the song and dance we've been getting for like 11 years. That game if it ever comes out..will suck the big one. Atleast they finally released the teaser trailer for the game.
Anyways...Where the Wild is supposedly going into massive re shoots...so don't expect it anytime this year for sure.

this is what this clip is...from the directors mouth:
“that was a very early test with the sole purpose of just getting some footage to Ben our vfx (visual effects) supervisor to see if our vfx plan for the faces would work. The clip doesn’t look or feel anything like the movie, the Wild Thing suit is a very early cringy prototype, and the boy is a friend of ours Griffin who we had used in a Yeah Yeah Yeahs video we shot a few weeks before. We love him, but he is not in the actually film...Oh and that is not a wolf suit, its a lamb suit we bought on the internet. Talk to you later...“ - Spike Jonze

No one has ever made a decent film about the book. Disney tried but failed to deliver. Most have been shorts which are terrible too.
Jonze's Adaption was good and had great character interaction but that might have been due to Nicholas Cage. However it was written buy the two brothers of who the movie is about. WTWA is written buy a guy who has never written a screenplay before according to what I can dig up on him. If Jonze is taking this much time to finish the movie I hope he is doing a good job. From what I've seen it looks promising.
Here are some images from the recent film and site about the movie. It seems it will be a cross between live action, cg, and costume work. link

well the images look good hopefully the story is as well.back in the day childrens writers seemed to be able to write complex stories dealing with complex issues but in a simplistic fashion.it seems my generation...well most of wich;that are creative writers have seem to lost this ability if they ever had it to begin with somwhere along the line.:confused:But I have my hopes this will be a good film and that it will hopefully be released within the next few years.:)

Yea me too. I wonder what they're looking at. The "wild thing" in the background isn't looking at the sun it seems like.
