Choco* - Most protective and caring. Mix between black Labrador and Australian Shepherd I think.
Sheba* - Curious and playful. Gorgeous dog. This photo does nothing for her. She had a beautiful coat and the purest brown eyes I ever seen that rivaled a humans. Pure bread long haired Shepherd.

She's a mix of a black lab and my dad's thinking weimeraner, but the papers say Greyhound.

She's a VERY happy happy dog. Constantly on happy pills. Not really, but that's the way she acts.

She makes friends with EVERYBODY, even the skunks and the deer. I don't think she's met a turtle like my other dog did and got snapped at right in the nose. She had a pink spot on her nose until she died. Poor dog. She was a guard dog actually. Not really, but she was really protective.

She doesn't look serious all the time, I swear! :o She's a total alpha dog, though, despite still being a puppy. She was a rescue and she was hit by a car when she was really little so she's got a bit of a hard-ass streak to her, but she's a good, nice dog.

I made a blog post about it when it happened. I'll just post that.

It was 12:30pm and I was sleeping in like I always do. Tucked in bed all snug as a bug as I listened to the storm that was going on outside my window. All of a sudden a hear scratching on my door. It's my dog feverishly scratching, and scratching, and scratching. I assumed he was frightened from the thunder like he always is. I thought he just wanted to cuddle up with me because he was scarred. But I wasn't about to get up from my comfortable bed. No sir.

The scratching continued. This wasn't his normal scratching. This was non-stop continuous scratching. This was a panicked scratch. Suddenly I started hearing sneezing from the other side of my door. Weird sneezing. It went on and on just like the scratching. It didn't stop. My dog has sneezed a bit in his day, but never anything like this.

I finally got annoyed by it and opened my door. I stood in shock by way lay at my feet. It was my dog, left eye swollen to hell, nose running with blood, and standing in a pool of blood in front of me. Immediately I was panic stricken. After about a minute of confusion I ran to clean up, only to be met with blood smeared all over my family room carpet, kitchen, and front door. It literally looked like someone had been murdered in my house.

Needless to say I called my mom right away in panic. I didn't know what else to do. She got right to the house immediately and we took him to the vet. At first they told us it could be a number of things. They gave us anti-biotics and a various assortment of drugs.

A week and a half go by and he isn't doing much better. We take him back to the vet. They do so more tests. We wait...

Today we got a phone call from the vet. My doggy has cancer. He has another 3 or 4 months to live. =(

He ended up living almost a year after the diagnoses...but I'm sure it was hell for him. Some days were great, others not so much. But despite it, he was pretty happy most the time so we didn't want to put him to sleep. Finally we decided we needed to.

That's interesting that it sort of hit all of a sudden like that. My boyfriend's Irish setter had cancer....tumors all over her body, it was kind of gross, but she lived a good long life. She finally pooped out on the front porch one night.

My dog, Magic, had cancer as well. his symptoms were not as extreme as your dog's, but we were about to put him down when he finally passed away.

when I got home one day from school, he got out form under the corner table, (his favorite spot in the world) and dropped dead. I didn't see him drop cause my back was turned, but it was only turned for a few seconds. what touches me so much, is it was like he waited for me to get home before he let go.

My cat frita,is freakin smart...she's almost human.My cat takes showers,lol knws what a doorknob is and what it does.tries to turn the knob with her paws all the time when she wants out the room.gives kisses...well as best she can.she rubs her nose first on your lips but then she'll use her mouth and give little lickies on the lips. doesn't poop in the toilet yet but pee's.knows how to flush but isn't strong enouph.she understands commands,like a dog...get it frita get it. and will attack the appropriate target,including people...I sick her on my nephew all the time and she'll come up to me weow then walk to her water or food bowl sit down,look at me and go mreow.lol,I take that as cat talk for can I get some water or food.:)Blaze the kitten is almost as smart but more a free spirited kitty...I'll come and listen when I want.but frita sleeps with me and my girl by our heads,and every morinin.if me or bell don't get up by 5 o clock,she'll continuously bite us on the lip cheek or chin till we get up.This cat should be on ripleys beleive it or not.Me and my girl have never had to worry about waking up late for work.

Ok guys and girls c'mon do you really want to do this my cat just recently passed and I grew up on a farm I had my mom accidently crush a kittens skull and watched my brother slam it against a wall and then watch as it ripped out.oh and the rest of the kittens in that litter had some type of illnes and they all died.:(I could go on. I honestly feel all of your/our pains for our lost pets that have been takin to early.But this is depressing,why not focus on the present and your pets that are so cute and depend on you now...I mean no disrespect,but reading this which I can't help is just saddening;If not downright depressing.that is why I posted about my two livving cats who currently bring me much joy as much as their predessesors.:o

When she was a pup, she would get into staring contests with my little brother. He'd stare at her....and stare...and she would get pissed and do one of two things:

She actually gave him a black eye once. It was rather hilarious.

And she hates anything dancing that looks like another animal. Take those dancing hamsters for example. She goes NUTS over those.

lol,you just reminded me.I had this cat that had six paws so we named him mutant.Well me and my brother were all high, and the cat was just sitting on the floor staring at us. so one of started going ooop,ooop,ooop, togeather while staring at mutant.lol it made this crazy ass clicking noise at us then bolted under our bed.:D oh yhea one time too I had this bunny called thumper I had just gotten high and was setting in for a movie.I laid out and thumper came over by my bed.I was petting him for like two or three minutes. the longest ever,well I rolled onto my side and looked down and there he is chomping away at my sack.:eek::D

lol,ok whateva. I had a horse when I was a kid.it's name was star. well one day my mom put my brother on her and my step dad went to go around the other side to secure my brothe...the horse nearly bucked my brother off.cuz it bucked and kicked my dad in the nuts.that was the greatest.:D

the goats chasin my brother was pretty good too.lol:D This kid was stupid growin up.lol we also had a black stalion on our farm...and yes it was a black stallion. it's name was bugar and boy was he a meanie...well one day my brother wanted to play with the goats,but in order to get there he had to get by bugar a full grown stallion mind you. well the horse was pretty close by my brother came runnin,but tripped. lol I almost lost a brother that day.lol.the horse reared up like in the movies,ready to trample my brother.he luckily narely rolled under the electric bob wire fence causin the horse and my brother to get the shock of their lives.:D

He's a true percula clownfish and his name is Doral. ;) There's another one in there, too. Her name is Six. Of course, whenever little kids do go into my local shop the resounding cries are "Nemo! Nemo!" it's true. And I love that movie. Specifically, I love Crush. Ah, Crush...
