I cannot wait for this either.
Man oh man....I hope it's better than Rambo or Rocky.
But it looks good! Spielberg wouldn't have gone through with it without a good screenplay.
But, the only complaint I have: no Connery. Damn I loved his character in Last Crusade.

But whatever happened to Roundhouse? His other little buddy? You know?Roundhouse? The guy that says,"You listen to me Docta Jones...You listen to Roundhouse, you live longer!!" or "sounds I step on fortune cookie?"

I think you mean Short Round. ;)
Roundhouse...that just sounds so bad.
But I guess he grew up and went on, much like Indy's other girls.

Short round? Who knows. Same thing that happened with Sallah (John Rhys-Davies) or Marcus Brody (the late Denholm Elliot).

Damnit! No Sallah? I love John Rhys-Davies! (aherm, Gimli....perfect!)
And your Coke is in the mail. ;)
Short Round's voice is going through my head now:
"You cheat Docta Jones! You cheat!"

Playing Indy's age....AWESOME!!! Not Rocky or Rambo awesome... but Oh shit...we're older slower, and I might break something. I wanna see Sean Connery in the flick at least for 2 minutes almost like Robin Hood where he made a cameo as Richard the Lion Heart. Just something brief. I would love it! Still...need...more....

I know, I KNOW!!!
But Connery didn't like the script, or something like that. Otherwise, he'd step out of his retirement confines (or whatever it's called) and do it.
He's 'having too much damn fun' being retired. Oh, I can only dream, right?

This is so awesome. The whip crack was extremely loud in that scene. It kinda hurt my ears.

Ya, Holy mother of fucking god. I still can't believe that I experienced the first trailer for Indiana Jones 4... Since 19 years we've been waiting for this (not actively). Now it's time. Just... wow.. I couldn't even breathe while watching.
Having said that I didn't like the Children of Dune score at the beginning (I love the score, just not in this trailer) and some of the scenes from the movie unfortunately looked fake (cgisih). Still, biggest event of the last 5 years of course.
Man, I see Indy on the big screen for the very first time in my life... that's just... beyond me.

They did look a little fake, but I kinda liked it, because it looked like the special effects of the previous movies. I remember reading something about how Spielberg was not going to update his direction, but harken back to the direction of the first three movies. I wonder if that will include the CGI? Probably not, but an interesting thought.

I just want to see this on the big screen-- I will be all smiles from ear to ear-- Indy would probably be the only movie besides TF to make me go crazy in the weeks leading up to it......now only if they didn't do a shitty job with the cast of GI JOE....

To be honest, when i saw the first full tf trailer, I thought the military portrayed in the movie was gonna be gi joe:)
Stilll.....The Joe team should be a "Bay" Film...no tf crossovers though. Is it to late to take the job Michael?

Sidenote: Wife thought the trailer reminded her of the TF trailer. (when the text would come in)

Well they are still doing the the stunts like the old days with real people. Like the scene in the warehouse when Indy swings through the air on hes whip was done for real. But the Car Chase scene does have CGI. I think the scene may be unfinished with the compositing and stuff to make it look more real.

now, that my excitement has gone, I have to say, actually no. It wasn't that great of a trailer after all.
It's funny how everyone is repeating stuff they read on the net, like "this has the same spirit as the old ones". Um.. since when is it the same spirit, when we get bad looking cgi in a Indy movie?
Besides that the pacing also was very off. I still like it, just because it's Indy, but yeah, I'm not that hyped about the trailer anymore (still about the movie though).

i never thought it was a great trailer...just seeing Indy again brought back mounds of joy and excitement. Indy was my ultimate bad ass as a kid growing up. As a TEASER trailer its good up until everything after he lands backwards into the car. Everything else is quick cuts of bad CG and uninteresting footage. I did kind of like the part where they were running down around in a circle.

Like I say with a bunch of teaser trailers. It did the job it was intended to do.
My interest has been piqued. (as if it wasn't already) Plus silouhette of Indy putting on fedora as John Williams score begins was what did it for me.
Plus, Simon being a pahty poopuh, is kinda par for the course around here. :p

Does well as in box office or critical reception? If you mean box office, yes, because it has the words "Indian Jones" in it. If it's the critics, well, I'm not entirely sure. How well did the others do?

yhea from a financial standpoint indy will do excellent. It looks well made from the commercials.but I already can hear the scathing reviews from critics,I think critics are getting tired of remakes and rehashing old movies.

Indy 4 has been in the works for years ince about 92/93. It was gonna happen either way cos Harrison wanted it, but they never had a good enough script. So i dont think they would of done it without knowing its gonna be good.
Critics can say what they want, this is Indy, and its going to fucking rock.
Ford has also said he would like to squeeze a 5th film out before its too late, i hope they will.

It's supposed to be five films, according to IMDB.
And I've read some pretty good reviews on Indy 4.
