Just like the title says. Show us your creative side. Let's see what you can do whether it be artwork, animation, or just hobbies you enjoy.

Here is a bed frame I made a few years back. Scratch built, I had it sandblasted after i finished fabrication then powder coated to finish it off

Anyway, awesome bedframe! It has an elegance by highly artistic craftsmanship.

My drawings can be seen here: http://solaryear.deviantart.com/gallery/
As for recent literary activity, maybe I'll be allowed to make it public on 28th Feb.

Thanks! You're quite talented yourself. I like the energon drink. What's in it? That would be a cool idea for the transformers ride. Something to buy in the giftshop

BTW, you have an awesome job. Have you convinced your boss to write stories for a transformer video game?;)

Maybe i've got something to show as well. My hobby is to create music (rather peculiar, isn't it?:) ), so here are some of my creations. Of course i'm not a professional composer, not even close, i just like create something of my own sometimes :)

http://rapidshare.com/files/90008526/Somewhere.mp3
http://rapidshare.com/files/90009614/New_Environment.mp3

The first one has two homages in it: from 1:12 to 1:42 and from 2:33 to 3:13 - where i used my favourite composers' notations. I believe you'll recognize that. The rest is my personal inspiration. Well, maybe not too personal, but that is already kind of a subconscious thing, i guess:)

Umm....I can't show you guys my hobby. It's kind of kinky. :p

I'm sooo just kidding. Maybe this energy stuff really does work!

But in all seriousness, creativity is part of my job (even though sometimes it's not that creative...) but I am not able to show it to you here because, well, you'd have to have a certain program to see it.

And there's no way in hell I'm making it a PDF. That's a bitch.

Okay, maybe I should go walk this energy off.

Nah, it's dark outside.

Not bad dude! HMmm, Where have I heard that music before ;). I only got to listen to the first one though. Rapid Share wants me to pay money to hear the rest. What program do you use for recording? I used "Pro tracks" for recording guitar, and "Fruity Loops" for messing around with different sounds. I have about 6 songs recorded....just no bass guitar. I'll have to post them on you-tube or something since I don't have my own website

All this music was created entirely in FL Studio 7 (yeah, "Fruity Loops") with some additional intrumental libraries. :) So there was no recording actually:)

haha.....ya i'm not a big fan of stealth games....but those damn codec sequences killed the game for me.

A recent game with a ton of dialog that I've played and beat recently is Mass Effect. Easily the best writing and dialog in a video game I have ever played. A truly stunning RPG. Sora...I'd suggest playing it!! Don't know how well they localize Eastern games for the Western market, but I would play it with the English voices.

xAgonyxScenex

eh....no....i don't think it really would. A good transformers game would be best suited to either an open world game, or defined levels with scripted events. Even the...it'll never happen. Game companies don't innovate on existing IP (just look at movie games), unless it's an IP they developed.

A studio would much rather develop their own idea and create that, then create a game based off of someone else's idea.

guitarded
02-08-2008, 01:24 PM
The open world concept still works for rpg...but not the fighting strategy like xenogears. That would have to be open play...with transformation at will...It would be neat to be able to roam cybertron and talk to other transformers for information, fighting decepticons along the way. Then hop in a ship and explore space....fly to earth. could do it in teams.....allowing changes at certain points in the game

I never thought I'd hear the names of those games here. :D
Honestly, I myself don't want to see long long conversation scenes in Transformers games.

Maybe MMORPG style is more suitable for the Transformers RPG. Freely roaming Cybertron or Earth would be fun!

The release of Mass Effect in Japan seems to be not yet scheduled. So I'll try to get the English version.

not checking this game out would be a VERY bad idea. This game is one of the best i've played in a long time. The writing is absolutely amazing. Everyone I've talked to is amazed at how good it is. Probably the best writing i na video game I've ever played to date. The choice of being good or bad is VERY fleshed out in this, and you have to make tough decisions in this game. Decisions that effect a lot. Amazing what they have done. My only complaint is there are technical issues like lots of loading and texture pop in's...but when a game is pushing graphics as far as this game, you can easily forgive it.

XBOX 360...i just beat the game like 5 mins ago and holy shit! I have not had a more fulfilling and pleasurable gaming experience like this in the longest time, if ever. I don't mean for this to sound nerdy or corny...but games like that are the reason I'm a gamer. Easily a new milestone in story telling for video games.

Oblivion is awesome. I haven't beaten it, or come anywhere close to it. but it's awesome. But Mass Effect is a MUCH MUCH better RPG then Oblivion. I'm just worried that the localization into Japanese isn't going to be as good as the English. Cause holy crap it's amazing writing.

As you know what its like for gamers when a game is close to release. The hype is building For FFXIII and MGS4 and R.E5:D.

I wolud be happy with two of this games to hit store's this year but the rumor is all three:eek:.

Square Enix president Yoichi Wada confirmed to reporters that Final Fantasy XIII will not see a release until after the end of the fiscal year, meaning Spring 2008 at the very earliest.

A quickie report from IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/791/791052p1.html) today indicates that Square Enix's principle cash cow, Final Fantasy XIII, will not be released to the public until the beginning of the next Japanese fiscal year, at the earliest.
Following the company's briefing in Tokyo today in regards to their financial performance during the last fiscal year ended March 31st, reporters engaged Square Enix president Yoichi Wada in an open Q&A session. In response to a question regarding the planned release for Final Fantasy XIII, Wada stated:
"It will still take a bit more time. At the very least [a release] this fiscal year is definitely out of the question."
Since the Japanese fiscal year begins in April and ends in March, the earliest possible release date for Final Fantasy XIII is April 2008. Although no word was made regarding the company's numerous satellite titles that will also bear the Final Fantasy XIII label, one can safely assume that they have also been subsequently delayed.

Although information regarding the release date of FINAL FANTASY XIII has been reported by certain videogame websites, Square Enix itself has yet to make an official statement on this topic. Any reports of a confirmed release date are erroneous and should be disregarded.

Square Enix will make an official announcement in the future concerning the release date when it has been determined.

FF games ALWAYS release Q1 or Q2 in Japan and then Q4 in the US. Meaning if it were to come out this year the hype and marketing machine would be in full gear, and it's not.

Unless they plan a simultaneous release in both Japan and the US like they are for The Last Remnant this fall, then this game wont be out until Q1 or Q2 2009 at the earliest. Though I cant see it going into 2010 either.

I also cant see them releasing it along side The Last Remnant. Doesn't seem smart for Square to do. Also due to the fact that historically a FF game releases at least once every 2 maybe 3 years. Hell there was a period where they released a new FF once a year with 8, 9, and 10. So I would bet on some time in 09 personally.

As a side note...FF9 is the best FF!!!

Rumor (http://kotaku.com/tag/rumor/)
Final Fantasy XIII Delayed to Spring 2010? (http://kotaku.com/358442/final-fantasy-xiii-delayed-to-spring-2010)

http://kotaku.com/assets/resources/2008/02/ff13tgsscreen.jpeg Dunno! But we do know it's sure hard to delay a game that isn't dated. Square Enix hasn't said much about the game — which is, in a way, good, because we'd rather have them working on it than talking about working on it. Last we heard, Square Enix was smashing rumors (http://kotaku.com/350801/final-fantasy-xiii-2008-release-date-rumors-erroneous) that the game would be out this year. No wonder people are worrying! Some Japanese industry analysts over on Japanese stock news site Trader's Web (http://www.traders.co.jp/domestic_stocks/domestic_market/wadai.asp) predicted that Final Fantasy XIII would be pushed back to March 2010. Until then, the value of Square Enix's stocks is supposed to drop.

What's more, website Hobby Blog (http://gamersweb00it.registerblog.splinder.com/post/786717/FINAL+FANTASY+13+TO+BE+RELASED+IN+2010) points out, some 2channel users are starting to compare FFXIII to vaporware like Gran Turismo for the PSP. We haven't heard any rumblings, suggesting that Square Enix was going to release the game as late as 2010 — though, it could happen! Though, pinning fears and tears on the Traders Web prediction is a little silly at this point. As KBC analyst Hiroshi Kamide tells Kotaku:

No news good or bad from the company really, but I expect the shares to start rallying again nearer the time DQIX is to be released.

So do we! We also expect Final Fantasy XIII will sell a gajillion copies in Japan no matter if it's released in 2009 or 2010. Until then, no freaking out, okay?

Personal i liked FFVII

which is the same old story for everyone cause it was either their first RPG or the first RPG they played wit ha truly great story. It's the same story with a band. Your favorite album by them is generally the first one you ever heard, and for most non Japanese audiences, it was their first RPG. I still remember the hype of the game and the commercials saying "It's not a movie...it's a game!" Show casing the amazing CG at the time.

hell i'm 30 somthing i have been playing games scine i was 6 years old.so FF VII was not the first rpg game i played but the first game with a story i liked.
My Fav band is linkin park and i use to Dj i started dj when i was 16years old.

But Tomb Raider 1 & 2 are my favs rpg games on the ps system on the ps2 MGS3 snake eater.

When MGS4,FFXIII and Haze are released on ps3 these will become my favs.
At the moment on the 360 Fav games are MASS EFFECT,and RB6V and will be RB6V2 when released.

So that same old story of its the first band or game played rule is wrong on me. But yes i do understand were you are comming from on the subject.
