Triple Changers..?

So.. I havnt actually read any "deep" conversations on Triple Changers appearing in TF2. Could it work?

I personally think they shouldnt even consider it. It would look kinda' wierd, unless they made the vehicles sort of 'altered'. And i think the general audience would be like "Uhh. Wtf."

I think it could work. After all, they've made cars that were also planes, cars that were also boats, convertibles that were lawnmowers, limosines that were fire engines, MAC trucks that were postal trucks, pickup trucks that were apple pickers, and I'm sure theres been other vehicles on Monster garage that I can't quite remember. My personal favorite was a school bus that became a pontoon boat!!!

This is touchy, and I'm sure Bay would tread carefully if he decided to have triple changers........Mass shifting comes into play. The worst offenders being Broadside, and then of course Astrotrain, and Octane tied for second place....all of them obvious reasons

Having the ability to slightly alter a form to adapt to environment...like adding pontoons or water skis to a car to make it float on water does not constitute a triplechanger. The best example would be g1 tracks......he was able to fly, but not a triplechanger......he was just a flying corvette

Here's the car I was originally thinking of. I guess they called it an Aerocar. It doesn't exactly go along with what you were talking about.. transforming.. because it was all built together..

I guess the things on Monster Garage were cool to me, because it would originally appear to be a stock vehicle, and then they'd open a door, or a hatch, or a window or something or another, and it became a totally different type of vehicle. Granted the Limousine firetruck still looked like a limousine with hoses shooting water out from it. And the Pontoon boat still looked like a school bus with the back half split down the middle .. but it was still cool..

Very True! I guess a Triple Changer, in Bays films would simply be a robot whos scanned a vehicle, then scanned another, but kept the other vehicles plan-thingys. Like a double up. So i guess it couldnt work.

If there's a triticon I think astro train or his brother blitzkrieg should fill that role concept...I couldn't see tripticons without the two originals astrotrain and blitzkrieg.

these guys should be in the sequel even if they aren't triple changers. Astrotrain and Blitzwing. why? not b/c they're triple changers but b/c they are substantial characters. blitzwing has had issues with loyalty also which makes him an interesting character.

i would like to see him transform into a tank AND jet, but i just don't know how they'll pull it off on big screen.

Didn't you see starscream as a jet tf kick cars up tf back to a jet...say astro train has a mission to cybertron.he turns into a rocket shuttle on return like the heli as not to be noticed or thought of as a lost aircraft.make him larger than most shuttles...he land in the wilderness has ability to copy multiplie targets,then turns to train to enter a major city.as for blitz hey could be a tank and once closed in on he could be like starscream and jump up into jet form only to land as a robot.:eek::D:)

I can respect that...However the whole point was about the key roles these characters played and if or should they be emplemented? I say they should could and would be great as loyalist and a stonger and more capable bot...there were many types of bots made why not a couple tripticons. that served purposes.

This is kind of the same idea as a Gestalt like Devastator or Superion. Granted it'd be cool to see them in a live action movie.. but its like.. how is it that they would do it? Hopefully not cheesy moves like they did in Power Rangers. Slow transformations and having to do it all on the ground and then it stands up all at once.. its like.. c'mon.. thats near impossible for that much body weight to stand up like that. Then again.. the idea of 5 robots flying into the air all transforming into a arm or a leg only to combine... its kinda wishy washy.. I mean I can sort of see it with Superion cuz their all jets (if they jused jets) but with Devastator.. its like.. its a bunch of construction equipment. In the first movie, they made no attempt of making it look like the nonflyers (i.e. Barricade, Bonecrusher, Brawl) look like they could fly, even though in the G1 series, they could fly. So I guess its one of those things that probably won't be done.

It would be so sweet if they manage to pull of some triple changers but.... It will be one hell of a job for the animators as within TF1 they managed to tie in all body components to the vehicles as they were tranforming to a 1 other mode but if they attempt to do for example springer Truck to Robot to Chopper they are gonna seriously have to think about all the dynamics and being honest it maybe very time consuming also.

Yeah i agree it could deffinately be done! but its a time and cost issue thats the problem i dont doubt for one second the guys at dreamworks can handle it its just budgets need to be stuck too and if Bay says he's introducing lots more robots then its likely the budget will be stretched to max.. or maybe he has taken into account this and incorperated triple changers ??? I wonder ..... Dood that would be so cool

Actually your a pretty much spot on, if you have read the prequel book for the first film bumblebee when he was being chased by starscream on a planet. He changed into a buggy type thing which he had stored from a previous time then when he arrives on earth as a scout hes in the form of a old camero then updates to the new one.
