Casey, great video.

But your grandmother has to understand that we cannot "bring the war to a halt" by ourselves. It takes a lot of people to do that, but to be honest, there's no negotiating with al Qaeda and bin laden.

Yes, the Iraqi government does need to take over and step up. Yes, we need to begin pulling troops out. It's a long process....and as the saying goes, war is hell.

I've never served, but I have a lot of friends that do. I thank you for your service and your sacrifice for this country, for you, your family, for me, and for everyone else who lives in this great country.

Again, thank you. And I'm looking forward to your next video(s)!

Your Grandmother does rock for speaking out, but why is she not looking at the camera directly? I'm no filmmaker, I'm just wondering about this choice.

When have you seen an interview on t.v. were the person being
asked the questions looks right into the camera?
;)
I feel it easier for the person answering the questions to focus
on a person than a camera.

Well, we could actually get our troops out of harms way anytime we wanted too. As far as Al Qaeda goes, you know that they are the least of our problems over there, right? I know I know, the news just goes on forever about them. But, I patrolled a road that for almost a year, was most of the time number one for being the most dangerous, and never out of the top five most dangerous patrols in Iraq. How many Al Qaeda did we fight? None. That's right. None. They weren't even being funded by them, and we knew it. We where fighting the people of that area and that area alone. There is a lot of people that don't want you to hear that.

That's true, I do get a lot of information from the media and that is their main focus.

And maybe we do have them on the run. Or disbanded for the time being.

But that's great you speak out about this, not everyone does. It does take guts though. I admire you for that.

That means a lot to me. It really does.

Al Queda isn't coming for you like they say.

I really do mean it.

It takes a lot of courage to do what you're doing, on and off the battlefield.

What does your hippie ranting have anything to do with Michael Bay?

What does your hippie ranting have anything to do with Michael Bay?

1. Bay has been quoted disapproving of the war.

2. This is a fan community and the category under which Casey has posted is for miscellaneous subjects. General Forums is moderated by Trigger Mike and is meant for topics not directly related to Bay or Transformers.

3. Did I mention this a fan community? We all have different viewpoints, here, but we respect each other. You should, too.

First off, thanks red. You're still a hottie by the way.
Next: I just had to laugh at that. But red is right, you
can post here pretty much anything within the limits of the rules.

If you can keep it civil, we can disagree and talk about it.

OK then... I'll keep it civil... not that my opinion matters anyway, I'm not in the army... and I have no intention of joining. I think the effort and sacrifice you guys are making for America is amazing, we owe you all... it's just your anti-war movement doesn't help. It makes America look bad. We can't just close our eyes and pretend the threat of radical Islam doesn't exist. Maybe the people you are fighting in Iraq are not Al Qaeda... but they share their ideals, and their hatred of Americans. The world is a violent place...

Show some respect. It has everything to do with Michael Bay, not only him but all of us in the U.S.

That is why you fail...

How does being Anti-War make America look bad? Radical Islam does exist, in a tiny fraction. People have been pushing this "Radical Islam" crap since 9/11 and people eat it up. You know how many "Radical Islamics" I ran into in Iraq? None. Not one. Did I loose friends? Yes. Did people try to kill me? Yes. Did I see things I'd love to forget? Yes. These are poor people in a poor country who want us out. Occupation is NOT Freedom. Sure, a lot are Muslim; but talk to them. They don't like Al Qaeda, but they want to drive where the choose and do as they please. If they want to kill each other, then so be it. But the reason they hate us in Iraq is because we in fact have bombed them back into the stone-age. They hate W, and a lot of Soldiers and Marines, but they don't hate us all. They want to be left alone. The world is violent, but how will killing more people make it more peaceful?

Again, I don't want to be argumentative, I respect your opinions greatly. I can't even imagine the atrocious things you have been through. I am deeply sorry for the loss of your friends. You make us proud. I pray for you and your friends. I would like to say their sacrifice was not in vain.
I wish this whole war would go away, only it won't. Have you forgotten Iran? and Ahmadinejad? If America pulls the troops out, the whole region will be in danger. The Middle-East is vital for our interests. And what about Israel? Hezbollah were armed and funded by the Syrians, who in turn are backed by the Iranians. Appeasing these nations will not make the threat disappear, bringing our troops home will not end this fight. America would appear weak, and isolationist.
Yes, occupation is not freedom, but America freed Iraq from a savage dictator, Saddam Hussein. Al Qaeda is not the only threat to America, there are many Islamic groups willing to kill Americans and Christians in the name of Allah. Have you been to Europe? The hatred towards Americans from Muslims living in Europe is immense. It is a lie to say it was caused by George Bush, and his administration. They will hate us no matter what we do.

No no no. This is great. Really. Lets keep this going. It's like a mental exercise. If anyone else here agrees or disagrees, please post away!

Of course I haven't forgotten Iran. I haven't forgotten that Iran was accused of making "Weapon of Mass Destruction". Then later only to find out that the same people who told us that Saddam was doing the same where wrong, yet again. I haven't forgotten that Ahmadinejad, although not my kind of guy, faces the U.S. press and criticism openly and head on. Even our “Leader” can’t seem to do that. If we leave the region it will not be in any more danger than it is right now. Do you really think that Israel is going to fall to Hezbollah? Do how many billions we've given them over the years? Yes, Syria is a problem. However, not a big one. They know that pissing us off would do them more harm than good. Both nations, Syria and Iran, do in some measure take part in back alley deals to get what they want done. But in scope and scale, they have nothing on us. We are the biggest gunrunners in the world. I can't say that I've been to Europe. However, while in uniform I did talk with a French woman. Out of uniform I talked to a couple of Palestinians and a man from Iraq. Oh, and several Iraqi's while I was deployed. Although their questions where tough, they were not rude or hateful towards me. But they wanted to know from a real person, not a t.v. Mouthpiece. Now, it's not scientific, but all this blood lust that people feel is out there against is almost always hype. They get a very small handful of people on t.v. and the papers, and boom! It's a huge threat they need you to buy into so they can get what they want done. As far as non-violent anger towards the U.S. , well, yeah, I don't blame them. You know how many cruel and evil people we've funded? More then we've taken down. Only now, Bush has done it his way and started and whole different type of war. So yes, I am not afraid, or pissed at them for being mad at us. The threat from "Radical Islam" is forged in bigotry and hate.

Oh, and speaking of back alley deals; Iran isn't sending massive amount of weapons into Iraq to kill us. Although even the Bush administration can't fabricate the evidence, let be show some truthful evidence of my own:
