Ok DVD exclusives just went high gear into ludicrous stage. There are now 4 exclusives from various DVD retailers:

Futureshop - Steel Case
Best Buy - 32 page booklet with exclusive figure
Target - Exclusive new prequel Comic book which ties the IDW prequel comic more closely with the movie
Walmart - Animated version of the prequel comic on a bonus DVD which is voiced by Peter Cullen

I know there will be come hardcore fans who will buy all 4.

I originally wanted to get the Futureshop exclusive to keep it simple. But then I was curious to see what the Exclusive figure at best buy was. And now I want the comic book since I wanna get more info about the story. And that freaking bonus DVD sound mighty attractive.

This is too ridiculous

Pick your favorite version, buy it, and ignore the rest. Simple.

They're releasing all of these at once, so it isn't really a rip off. You do get to decide.

There will probably be an extended cut released down the road though. But as you say, just pick your favourite and buy it, or buy them all if that's what you WANT to do :D

Of course there will! What film doesn't get re-released on DVD thesedays?

My point is; if that bothers you, maybe you should wait until the double dip and make your purchase then. We're all far too aware of how this game is played thesedays to allow the studios to screw us.

Anybody who is actually able to wait til the super definitive DVD version is out of their "Michael Bay worshipping" mind.

I'm gonna hafta buy all 4, sell off the DVDs for real cheap and keep the goodies. The one that I want the most is the Steel Case version.

Personally, I'd choose the Walmart version. But I would ignore ALL of these versions in favour of an autographed copy by Michael himself. Wink wink, nudge nudge, knowwhutImean?
