I promised long ago to go with a cousin of mine (who has an unhealthy man-crush on anything Sly related) to go see Rambloated.
I'd be lying though if I said it didn't look appealing from the trailers.

I might next week. I was impressed with what he did with Rocky 5. I'll put up a review if I go.

Me and my wife are planning to see it.I saw the trailer last month on-line by accident on myspace.I went nuts.I think it may be good if not better than the older series. The camera angles, lighting, and more probable story line that is relevant to this generation.I watched the older Rambo's with my family growing up.My Dad was a Vietnam Vet.He took his own life in 1992 after battling within' himself for years.I saw the trailer and thought of alot of him and the vets that are probably happy to see an old friend (Rambo) still here,Older, and still able to kick some ass.I think that time period reprsented the horror of what happened to some Vietnam vets during the movie First Blood. In the first movie First Blood. The studios test ran the movie in which the story-line ended with Stallone commiting suicide after destroying the town.It did poorly due to the ending with his apparent suicide after killing the sheriff. So the studios made a different, happier ending that eventually led to now. Can't wait!!I have an odd feeling I will have dad there watching the movie with us.He loved movies!!..Hey Agony!!,We too have tickets to pay,so I know what ya mean.Hows that goin?

i respect all vets iam sorry to hear that, for some ppl that didnt know there was a book before the movie called first blood. in the book hes more of a killer, instead of hurting the law enforcement he kills them. and the ending of the book
*spoiler*
trautmen kills rambo at the end.
the book was ok but i like the movie better

Saw this last night.
1st half of the movie lags a bit. Not much nod back to the past films short of a short cut-scene type flashback and a little bit of familiarity in the score to the first movie.
The violence dial is turned all the way up. From the atrocities that the Burmese armies commit (*warning* they show them bayoneting a child) to the end when Rambo does the damn thing. (you find your self rooting for him as he purees those animals with that turret gun.)
If you're going just to see Rambo "act a straight donkey" (as my bro-in-law always says when someone goes balls to the wall), then you won't be disappointed.

You do mean Rocky Balboa, right (AKA Rocky 6)? Because Rocky 5 was anything but impressive.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Great to see Rambo venting some cathartic western tension for us :)

This movie is good, if you enjoy the bloody war type of movies.
For me, it was just too damn bloody. Body parts flying everywhere, blood splattering on the camera.
I feel like I need therapy now.

this was the bloodiest movie i ever seen, more bloodier than any zombie movie even EVIL DEAD and saving private ryan, guns tearing ppl, this is by far the bloodiest movie ever, it freaking owned. lil dialouge, but stallones only dialoge was the action because his killing speaks to us. schwarzenegger should stop being governer get into shape and make another commando movie!!
