I was looking through the cars thread (http://www.shootfortheedit.com/forum/showthread.php?10428-The-Cars-in-Pain-amp-Gain&p=202435) and noticed two digital cameras mounted to a 1997 Chrysler Prowler.

I found possibly the source of the photo that appears in that thread and posted them above. (They are images 56 and 57 here: http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/RLNn-xYSSQE/Dwayne+Johnson+Grills+Body+Parts+Pain+Gain/vQ7pE1GURAb).

It looks like a DSLR on the left and a RED camera on the right but it's hard to tell from this angle. However, it's clearly not a film camera! Does anyone know if this is just an anomaly because they didn't want to mount a film camera on the car, or if Michael Bay was shooting on RED the whole movie to keep the budget down? Did I miss some announcement about this? I am shocked!

We've seen plenty of camera set ups from the set of P&G but don't worry the main camera is still the 35 mm Panavision Panaflex Millennium.
He mainly uses the digital cameras for more extreme shots. At least that's what the pictures show.

Bay used Alexa, Red, Canon 5d& 7d, GoCams, and some film cameras.
