techno mixed with orchestrated music....i've heard some of it before, and it mixes beautifully. It seems anything to be mixed with orchestrated music, no matter the genre seems to blend amazingly. (i.e. symphonic metal)
anyways, if anybody could point me to the direction of a movie, or video game soundtrack, or an artist who releases music of that kind, it would be GREATLY appreciated, and i owe you! =)

DJ Tiesto: He's A Pirate (Tiesto Orchestral Remix)
William Orbit: Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Check 'em out here (http://www.iceforest.com/media/trance_Archive.zip).
You gotta give these things time...they take a while to set up the smack-down.

Try,
BT: This Binary Universe
My fave,
Verve: Bitter Sweet Symphony
Eric Serra: The Fifth Element Soundtrack
Rob Dougan: Furious Angels
Filippa Giordano: Habanera From The Opera "Carmen"
Yellow Magic Orchestra: Rydeen 79/07 (Not so orchestral but techno/acoustic)
Yasuharu Konishi: Kuitan 2 Original Soundtrack (trance/classic)

Try X-Ray Dog and Immediate music. They usually made music for trailers.
