So, will you get a 3D TV/projector to enjoy MrBay's feature at the best in your comfortable home?
I've checked the prices, if you don't pretend top quality and settle for something not too bad, you can get a projector for less than $1'500!

I'll stick to my 52" Aquos.

I'm keeping an eye open for a great 3D TV or projector for a long time now and the 3D products keep coming when im ready to buy something a better version of that comes out so im waiting for something that can skip at least one better version.

Well, if they keep producing fake 3D movies then yes, but DOTM had me convinced with real stereoscopic filming, I hope they begin making movies like this!

Nah I'll pass. As much as I loved the 3D of DOTM in the cinemas, it's not the same at home. Plus, I don't think spending $1000-$3000 for a 3DTV just to watch DOTM is worth it because it would probably be the only 3D blu ray I would buy.

I own a 58" 3DTV, can't wait for the 3D version of DOTM. (Passing on the bare bones Sept 30 release.)

you own a Sharp Sora? All my tvs are all Sharp and they're the best! My current one is not 3D though but I will upgrade to 3D with Sharp projector in near future!

^Me too. I'm still going to buy the 3D version on Blu-Ray, just in case I ever do get a 3D TV. (Maybe when 3D dies they'll all go on deep discount). :p

Can anybody here tell me if DOTM will be in 3D in a resolution of 720p or 1080p or whatever? cause I'm looking at some 3D TV's and projectors and most of them can only do 720p 3D and 480i like wtf is that all about? i always thought 3D was a nice 1080p resolution...?

Watch out with buying a 3D projector people, sometimes they are only meant for PC's or 3D video that is only 480i not even 480p =/ this sucks... maybe i just have to search a bit more..

All Blu-rays are in Full HD - 1920x1080 (1080p). Don't get a projector or TV that has a resolution less than 1080p.

I will be getting the dvd on the 30th, and then I will be getting the blu ray when the special editions come out. I will be watching it for the audio at my house (I have a 1000 watt 6.1 system - I know it's not 7.1, but it's close) and for the video at my in laws as they have a much bigger tv (I have a 37 inch sony, they have a 55 inch samsung). I can't wait for the 30th:) I will not be buying a 3d tv or a 3d projector.

He must be careful, some projectors/TVs are advertised as 1080p, but only for 2D content, for 3D they offer a scaled down resolution!
So avoid those, especially the ones using passive polarized glasses that cut in half horizontal resolution!
As for me, I'm making my decision at the end of next month, maybe I'll sell my current projector and upgrade for a low cost (but 1080p 3D nonetheless) one with a couple of active shutter glasses...

I dont think I could ever muster the money up until 3d home tv's cost as much as HDTV's cost now. Its just too expensive.
However, I would be tempted to buy a 3DS if they offer 3d movies to it (Netflix 3d is in the works for 3ds).

Your not the only one, even people with money dont want to spend that much money on a 3D TV or projector, we all know the brands are slowly releasing better and better materials and technology its just a question of when your going to step into the 3D community, we can wait another year just to see what they bring out to see if its any better then what we get now.
It's simular to the mobile phone industry, the brands have technology for the upcoming 10 years but they dont put it all on the market ofcourse so they can keep milking us...
